Of course, she also has her Pern stuff, and the Ship Who Sang series, some of the most imaginative stuff I've read. And there's the Crystal Singer series, and the Acorna series, and the Doona series ...
You know, you don't really understand how prolific an author Anne McCaffrey is until you start listing her series!
That said, I have all but the latest Pern novel. And have read most of her other stuff... she tends to go on with a series too long. "Rowan" and "Damia" were great ( I thought "The Rowan" was vey romantic) but the sequels were boring.
I'll second the Pern recommendation anyway, although again, the sex (more in the later volumes) gets old. Still... dragons, mmm... telepathic dragons and really handsome dragonriders...
I'll have to check and see if I can find some of her books. I saw you posted a list later...I need to bookmark that! To be honest, one of the reasons I'm a bit turned off by some science fiction and fantasy is the whole series thing...seems like there are so many that you have to read all of and in the proper order, and living where I do it's very hard to get a hold of an entire series without purchasing it new.
