The Hobbit Hole VII - But not yet weary are our feet...
Posted on 03/15/2004 1:45:41 PM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
But not yet weary are our feet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hey, Ramius! How's the Wild Turkey today? :)

Nice-looking knife! :)

I dunno the name of the kicks...I was approximating them, anyway...coordinated I ain't! But there was one where you were down on your hands and one knee and did a bunch of leg lifts and kicks to the side, and that's what did it, I think. Kind of a GOOD pain in a way, since I know it means I'm going to be stronger, but in the meantime...
But I'll try those stretches and see if they help!

But there was one where you were down on your hands and one knee and did a bunch of leg lifts and kicks to the side, and that's what did it, I think. You were doing this voluntarily? Or was some cruel nasty person doing this *to* you? How awful... did you fill out a police report?

Think of what the stooopidbirds musta' thought. They probably got the word out later at the staff meeting: "Whatever you do... don't go up in *that* tree!"

It looked very nice in the pictures that Hair posted on Saturday. One of these days I would like to see photos that are more inclusive of the whole area. For now, it looks like a very appealingly landscaped place.

Nice-looking knife! :)The Hobbit Hole will never ship ugly junk. There are many good knives in our price range. The trick is to find a great one at that price. I think we still have that, for which I'm endlessly grateful.

Hmm, big red X there.
The Longfellow joke wasn't that funny. You'll have mail shortly. I didn't find the ice cream I really wanted, but am making do.

Oh, that I've come to this! It's sad, very sad. That's what I'm thinkin' Rosie. My exercise program consists of one thing. Backin' the scooter out of the garage. :-)

it looks like a very appealingly landscaped place. I guess the photo cropping was effective, then... :-)
There's still a few things that need some attention... but we're getting there...

If I were blessed with your metabolism and figure...I'd settle for that, too.
Unfortunately I got them "thrifty" genes, and a major sweet tooth.
*snif*
Not that I've accomplished anything at all yet, which is frustrating.

I guess the photo cropping was effective, then... :-)Okay, then when you get the entire thing to your liking, maybe it would be nice to see the whole thing in photos. :-)
Some guy there cleaning off the gravel was really nice lookin', any idea who that was? :-)

Um.....ew?
Heh...bet they'd be better at Tae-bo than I am, though. I can just imagine being in an actual CLASS...and stepping all over the people next to me or knocking some poor little skinny chick over when tryin' to kick.

That was the image I had of the side kicks! If Rosie would post a pic, I wouldn't have had to use those models!
