She didn't stop demanding, even when I told her I was 30 miles away, and the only person there to answer calls for the whole hospital system on midnights. Gees! Some folks just don't have the sense God gave a goat. Why am I not surprised though? LOL
Are you still at work now?

Heh, that was a tough one to find... I was beginning to think I would have to pull out my copy of the DVD and make my own picture...

Well, at least if you drive you know you have the option of a place to crash for a night. Though it is less than one day's drive from Austin. You might want to make it a whole lot further than here before considering stopping for the night.

Got it.
To: Wneighbor
Yep, IIRC, from the last time we looked up the route in Streets & Trips, we'll have to drive 12 hours/day for 3 days to get there.
I hear some bacon calling my name... later all!
To: Bear_in_RoseBear
Bacon!!! I'll be there in 5 hours!!!! It's calling me too!!!

Oh, forgot to mention, I drove from home to Washington a couple of times. Yeah, 3 long days will be right.

is Miss Kitty enjoying the sun?She does when it's here. All my windows face west. She was enjoying your chair out on the patio yesterday while I was thinning my lettuce "crop."

I should wait for the message to post before cleaning out the mouse.

It's snowing here... not accumulating though. It's so cold. Nobody wore spring clothes, but the service was nice anyway.
Just don't sell your computer! But I am glad to hear you're feeling better about money. And the weight thing that was bugging you last night - I've been stuck at one weight for almost two months, but today I was finally down some. It takes time, I guess, to really start losing, so don't you dare give up.
Oh, and since I only got in one workout this week, being sick all the time, I'm going to start week whatever still again. Oh well.

Hope you're makin' the nap now! I'm thinkin' ya need it.
I just got through makin' another batch of fudge to mail to troops. And, I've got the groceries to make another batch later today. So, I'll have something with that homemade touch when I send out this week. :-)

Yeah. That and surfing the news a bit....and petting the kitty...
To: Overtaxed
I found it disturbing just now that they had to explain to race fans what a camshaft is. Hmmmm.... I guess there are race fans who wouldn't know... but none I know.

Yeah really. I think the sport has been "dumbed down" since it got so popular.
I was watching a movie I had on video tape yesterday and when it was over, there was a race at Martinsville from 1992 at the end of the tape. *Sigh* The "good ol' days". They didn't need to explain what camber is.
To: Wneighbor
Maybe it's for non-racing people. Every now and then a race shows up on our tv for three minutes until we get bored... guess you have to know the sport to love it, but the only sport I can watch on tv is... actually, none, come to think of it.
Anyway I know people who turn on Nascar because it's "the thing to do" rather than because they like it. Gotta appeal to the lowest common denominator, you know.
