It's not just the PD, the Trib pretty much wants everyone out of the City who was there at the time. There'd be more movement out faster, but the job market isn't that hot yet. When it gets hot, probably after the election, look out -- they'll be bailing like crazy. Me too, perhaps.

Thank you!!! I've had that top made forever and just never felt like I had time to quilt it. I never realized until last summer how much my sister-in-law wanted a quilt and just *had* to get that one done for her. I know she's going to *love* it! :-)
This s-i-l has been one of my closest friends since before she married my favorite brother. I'm just tickled pink about this!!! And I can't wait to get it to her. Gotta get my sewing machine fixed first and gotta wait for payday for that... but soon as I do I'm going to have it bound and take it to her! YIPPEE!!!

You have a long life ahead of you.
Someday you may. It does make life interesting in the overall sense. In the immediate moment sense, it can be a bit trying.

It is gratifying to see justice done, even if it comes off a launch rail of a AH-64. I just hope he had at least a split second of awareness of what was about to happen before he received his award of martyrdom. Just a millisecond of despair at his ultimate "aw, sh1t!!!" moment. You know, I have to agree with you. I really hope he knew/realized what was about to hit him.

It's experience. It's definitely experience. That counts for something. I just don't want too much of it.
To: Scott from the Left Coast
LOL Who knew when we were in our 20's that this was what "experience" meant! :-)

I just want to see the look on his face when he reaches the gates of hell... ok that is a bit mean spirited of me.

Fedora, I'm going to bed. I'll get back to you tomorrow evening. Sorry, my head hurts too much to be coherent.G'night! Hope your head feels better!
To: Professional Engineer
He blowed up real good! I have a photo of what happens when a suicide bomber goes up against a M-2 Bradley. Let's just say the crew was probably pissed off, because it must have taken several hours to hose what was left of him off. The picture of the vehicle itself isn't too gruesome, although the shots of the remaining pieces of the terrorist are.

Wheelbarrows with brakes! It rocks!! :-)(Shakes her head) Big boys and their toys! SSQ is having a BLAST with all the tools he's buying to do this addition on our house! We've got Gimli, now he's looking for a boom lift! It will certainly make the job easier, so that's fine by me! He's figuring he'll just sell it all when we're done, except for the air tools. I'm sure he'll keep them!
Come to think of it, that wheelbarrow with brakes sounds nice!

I like your cart, Hair. It seems having the wheels on either side makes it much less likely to be tippy with a big load.

Yeah LOL! And having staff was suppposed to be a good thing, right? I'm thinking sole proprietorship is looking better and better.

Ah...never lose that situation where you can run off for a spell. I had that in my last position (till the politics ran over me at the end). It's very restoring. I've decided, after all these "experiences" that I'll make a very good retiree when that day comes, way off in the future.
