The Hobbit Hole VII - But not yet weary are our feet...
Posted on 03/15/2004 1:45:41 PM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
But not yet weary are our feet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It would be fun for him to come to Austin. Austin is only surpassed by San Antonio IMO as the coolest place to live. Rose would disagree with that however, she grew up in San Antone and much prefers Austin. :-)

Hello all, just figured out you moved. Still learning this whole thing. How is everyone? All is the same here and the weather is beautiful. 60' and 70's all week ans SUNNY! Nice breeze to boot. I have a question that maybe some of you can answer. When I sign on here there is the screen name SteelWolf on the screen. I'm assuming he/she signed on before me is why. How do I get a message to him/her letting them know I am at the same camp? Or is there any way to look up a profile? Any way all is well here, and you'll all be happy to know that the first 6 knives have been put to use already. On Sunday we had to tear down the old fuel farm and fuel bags. They were poorly put up by the last unit here and are not re-usable. So our handy CRKT knives made quick work of cutting them up to managable pieces. Thanks again to all of you for all you do. I'll update you all again when I can.
Steve

I don't think I'd do the Bailey's while doing taxes, Thought I'd do 'em without corrective lenses....could claim the blind exemption.

Good morning/evening!!!
To contact them, you could just use freepmail. Once you're logged on you'll see a link on many of the main pages for "my mail". This is a feature that does private messaging.
It also might be a good idea to let them know to log off before leaving the computer. If their screen name shows, then you're basically logged on as them and could be... er... trouble.

Hi Steve! Glad to see that the weather is good there! It's great in Texas today too. :-)
Kinda cool to know that you've got another freeper there. You can go to your mail and send a freepmail to SteelWolf letting him know who you are and that you are there. It might be fun for you to meet him. Also, tell him about us and we'll get him off a package if we get an address!
Just click on My Comments at the top or bottom of a page, then on My Mail and create a new message. We'll be waiting to hear how that goes! Bless you!
