The Hobbit Hole VII - But not yet weary are our feet...

Posted on 03/15/2004 1:45:41 PM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

But not yet weary are our feet...

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

LOL! Could be. Right now he is crashed in our bed. Again, he is fully clothed, except this time, he did have the forethought to take his shoes off. Guess he has been asleep for 'bout an hour and a half. Gonna have to wake him up at some point though to get him back in his bed.

Um... possibly Bill Pullman?

Bond needs boatloads of Charisma. I just don't see it.

That cannot be. NOT Tom Bombadil. The precious has no power over him.

You, on the other hand, have succumbed to the power of the precious.

Because the guy doesn't see it coming.

That explains it :) Does the invisibility imply that women administering the Invisible Test are wearing the Ring of Doom, then? :)

The Misty Mountains, of course. How else could I keep my Dwarves fed properly?

Ooh, you must get to visit Moria, then! Looked like a nice place when it was kept up properly :)

Is Hugh Jackman British?

I believe so--saw an interview once where he seemed to have a British accent.

No Moria for me, thanks. I like to dwell on the outside of the mountains. ;-)

All Hobbits need to feel the sun shining on their faces and cool breezes through open windows.

I bet he's not really asleep--he's just using a Jedi Mind Trick (TM) :)
