The Hobbit Hole VII - But not yet weary are our feet...
Posted on 03/15/2004 1:45:41 PM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
But not yet weary are our feet...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Well... it depends.
Ginger would be fun, but only once.

Yes, I thought Ginger was totally cool.... but, my ex was a Mary Ann fan. He told me if I'd grown up like Ginger he'd never have noticed me! I couldn't figure out whether that was a compliment or a slam! LOL

What??
Really... The whole Ginger/Mary Ann thing is a HUGE example of male psychology at work. Ginger looks like fun, but by the next day... you've seen what there is to see. Mary Ann on the other hand... now THAT is the one you want to see when you walk in the door after a long day at work, when she's wearin' one of your shirts and nothing else... stirring a pot of whothehell-cares-what-it-is on the stove...

To: Ramius
Oh hell... I have heard that whole thing before! You sound like an echo!!! That may be male psychology at work but female psychology says we want to be like Ginger! Spoiled rotten! hehehe

Now why she had 300 different dresses for a three-hour tour, don't ask me. . .

Now why she had 300 different dresses for a three-hour tour, don't ask me. . .And Ginger took good care of that wardrobe. She knew enough to take off those dresses for cookin'! Better to cook nekkid than to get grease spatters on your clothes!

That may be male psychology at work but female psychology says we want to be like Ginger! And that... in a nutshell... is the problem. Methinks there's a Masters Thesis somewhere here...
To: Wneighbor
I think it meant he was tryin' to win the argument by confusing me! LOL He was a good guy. The stategy prolly worked. That works for winning arguments with women? I've gotta make a note on that--thanks! :) Any other secrets of female psychology, please share! :)

Mary Ann only had that one pair of cut-offs I have yet to see the problem in this?
To: Ramius
And that... in a nutshell... is the problem. Not really. Spoil us enough and we'll wear whatever the hell you like when you're around! Just don't try to tell us what to wear when we go out and *always* say it looks good and "No" it doesn't make our butt look too big!
