Why would Mel Gibson care about these antiquated Jewish studio executives (I know that all the major movie studios were founded by Jews, except UA, and I believe are still controlled by predominantly Jewish Executives, although I'm not certain as to the exact numbers, please fill us in on this if you know).

Mel Gison has not only proven that the Gospel Message is still the 'Greatest Story Ever Told', he has also beaten Hollywood at their own game.

As to his apparent expulsion from hollywood, I'm sure gibson is just devastated and is certainly crying about it.......

All the way to the Bank.

"The head men at powerful DreamWorks studio joined two other big studios in declaring they won’t ever work with Gibson."

ROTFLMAO!

Gibson does not need these morons! He has made a fortune without their help, why would he need them now?

Dreamworks can get lost, I will send them a line reminding them of their stupidity.

blessings, Bobo

I didn't think liberals believed in God?

And I'm sure that Mel is quaking in his boots. I can see him shaking now. He looks like he's panicking in his interviews. :) Sarcasm for you this morning.

The behaviour of the media and movie critics is hilarious.
But let me be clear, their concerted attack on Mel Gibson is reprehensible and not funny at all. It's their desperation and utter failure that I find so amusing .

Did you miss this part?

An Air Force commander Lt. Gen. John Rosa has ordered cadets to stop posting circulars or using e-mail to promote Gibson’s movie, “The Passion of the Christ.”

LtGen Rosa is the Superintendant at the Air Force Academy.
hmmmmmmmmmm

The liberal humanists will stop at nothing to see religion erased from our personal and collective lives. How pathetic!

As a retired Army chaplain, I don't think the email portion of this is supportable. DoD has acknowledged that government email can have personal applications. Private email, of course, cannot be what this is talking about. It would be totally out of line for a commander to direct what one does or doesn't do with legal, private email.

To the extent that they allow others to publicize by poster, then they would have trouble refusing to allow religious speech. But a general does have control of the buildings in his command.

Mel Gibson did his part, remember OUR LORD did the other part. They both beat the hollyweirdo's at their own game.

Read Palms 37: 9-15

37:12 The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon with his teeth.
13) The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

"Did you miss this part?"

No. I saw it. I thought it was ridiculous. And yes, I agree with your conclusion on this colonel. It seems to me that if you're in the military, you probably should believe in God. Point is, that at sometime, you may meet up with Him.

I wasn't posting specifically to you but that's ok :)

With all the problems they've had out at the AFA you'd think they'd be happy that cadets were taking an interest in more Christian things :)

I mean really - how much email could they have been generating. Is promotion only off limits or discussions of the movie also?

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

"...Inspector Dennis Blackman, New York’s Hate Crimes Unit supervisor, ordered his 20 detectives to view Gibson’s “Passion” to look for scenes that would stir hate crimes..."

These pricks must be desparate. Imagine, imposing political correctnes on an event that happened 1,971 years ago. I believe Mel Gibson has dual citizenship (United States and Australia). He could go to Australia and make any movie he wants and keep the cash there. It wouldn't hurt whorellywierd much, but the profits would be in Australia, not in whorellyweird. Great movie, Mel. I await your next effort.

Who is Tom Shales? Who cares? Andy Rooney? What a has ben. I used to watch his camudjen at large, whenever it would occasionally show up on TV .. get a slight chuckle but this twerp I can do without for sure. He never really provided any 'content' that one can't live without and I definitely prefer large gafaws over slight chuckles so Rooney? Take a hike as well.

As to Dreamworks, I will keep that in the category of 'urban legends' until a specific executive or studio says they will not work with Mr Gibson. Not until then will I then add them to my "I can live without" list.

For what it's worth, I had lunch this week with some computer compatriots and a few exec's of Fox/Newscorp. We were talking about 'greatest releases' and such, as measured by box office, simultaineous release, other things that studios try to one-up each other on. I thought, what the heck and got us talking about Mel's movie and how he sort of got a hit outside of hollywood.

It was interesting to watch my computer compatriots squirm a bit, wanting to say something politically correct (and stupid) since they didn't know what the Studio execs response would be. It was a real blessing to hear the studio exec sitting next to me state that "I'm a practicing Catholic and this is exactly how and what I believe and I was very moved by it" (or something to that effect.

I'm not a Catholic but I do appreciate my Catholic roots, my Catholic brothers and sisters, and especially my Catholic Hollywood idol named Mel Gibson for making such a moving, heart touching, profoundly grass roots affecting, spiritual movie about the History of our Savior and what it must have been like.

And thank you Lord for letting me use Hollywood a bit to witness to my 'computer compatriots' as little as we did with this lunch conversation.

"Inspector Dennis Blackman, New York’s Hate Crimes Unit supervisor, ordered his 20 detectives to view Gibson’s “Passion” to look for scenes that would stir hate crimes. "

This is one of the reasons I was screaming mad over b.s. "hate crimes" legislation. How more invasive can a government get than to outlaw people's thoughts? If a suspect beats someone up or kills them - what does it matter what their "hate thought" was? Convict them for the assault.

The worst is that I was waiting until a movie or a book unpopular to the PC Left would be called a "hate crime."

It's SO peculiar that these Mel Gibson bashers are actually LIVING OUT the part of those who crucified Christ.

"WE make the rules here! WHO does he think HE is to go against the way WE'VE ALWAYS done things!"

Lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy . . .

(I know, too long for a tag line, but I couldn't resist! BTW my resume is very similar to yours, except Army vs. Marines, and I am the one who retired . . . )
