this reminds me of my kitty Blackie. She was so gentle! One time we saw her on the picnic table with her back to a squirrel, on the same table, that was eating a peanut. I guess her rationale was "if I don't see it, it doesn't exist". Precious pictures.

They are doing wonderfully. Trouble has to go in for his Leuk booster this week sometime, then we bring Fidget back home in about a week to meet the boys...

That is without a doubt the cutest picture I have ever seen! It is beautiful, especially on a snow-covered February morning. But my problem with kitten photos is the next one seems cuter than the last and makes me feel felinely ficklish.

That's my Molly, she is a Celtic Viking who likes salmon, is single, not looking because she's too busy with her career, but would like to date.

The one in front is a guardian angel for the other Viking Kittens. Here, when working the swing shift, they sleep in the bunk room.

Reminds me of my Merlin who was also gentle, so gentle that he competed with Harmony to raise their only child. Harmony would try to raise her only daughter as a lady and merle wanted a tomboy. I think baby Minka liked daddy best. He certainly was a magician.

The next time I get offered a cat from someone I work with, I'll bring it up to Debbie. She took Kitty's passing very hard and wouldn't hear of it last year.
As for the Humane Society, her family got a dog from one years ago, she died from pravo(sp?) cause the didn't clean the cages. That is a non-starter.
To: Springman
Since public donations and adoptions keep the SPCA in business, getting a sick animal from them was an unfortunate bit of bad luck. It sounds like you and Debbie need a cat.
Show her Library Cats, a clickable map to library cats all over; I'd be surprised if that didn't soften her up a little.
You might also peek in the phone book for no-kill shelters, places that keep cats forever if they don't find homes. If you find one in the book it might be worth mentioning to her.
When you decide to get a cat, get a male kitten, orange (male=gentle, kitten=maleable, orange=smart); orange not necessary. 8-D

Well I'll try this weekend. She hasn't seen the past few weeks of this thread and she loves it. I think it may help. Maybe I'll pull the food dish out and say we a cat to eat out of it.
Thanks!!
