All that reading must be why Emmerson looks so intelligent... and a very handsome cat, too.

It's probably not worth it now that the phone has stopped ringing for a second.

Precious!
Andrew looks a lot like my Ragamuffin.
I work in a university library...I wish we could have a kitty here but I don't think the boss lady would let us!

OMG, that cat looks like my old kitty, she past away
2&1/2 years ago. I guess cats get reincarnated.
BTW always love to see the great cat pictures.

Your boss lady must not know that libraries are supposed to have cats. Perhaps if you show her their website,
Library Cats, she will learn to understand.

That is a photo of Inga from
Mount Washington. Go to the site and type in "Cats" in the search window. You'll find another photo of Inga covered with rime ice. No kidding, it's beautiful.

Thanks for the link, your making me cry. She does look just like my old Kitty, (yes that is what I named her). She looked like that
the one time she came outside to help shovel snow. She wised up after that.
Another story about Kitty, when I brought my then girlfriend, now wife, home to "watch TV", when we pulled into the driveway, she was
having fun w/a new friend. Kitty
would let the mouse move, then play some more. Debbie didn't care for the fact Kitty left she friend on the front porch, when she was done.

The problem with loving a pet is you outlive it and that's almost too sad. Even when my next pet grabs my heart, memories of one long ago can still come knocking. It must be good, though, if the feelings are that strong, but it always hurts.

Thank You, you get it. I guess that's why my wife and I haven't gotten another cat. However she does like to see this thread every
week. Maybe I'll be able talk her into letting me get a new cat.
Well have a good evening.

Kittens have two speeds, speed of light and stop. When they stop they look dead. You can even rearrange them like these little guys might have been. I've had one or two kittens that slept so deeply you could pick them up and they'd still be out.

Springman,
You SHOULD get another cat. Or two. There are so many that need homes and are so grateful. Arrange to take the missus to your local humane society. Sometimes they have siblings or two kitties that came from the same house (buddies) that would go well to a home. Since we've moved out further into the country and have cats who have adopted us, I've learned to adopt them with open arms. Each one is unique and a blessing from God. And I thank Him every day. Don't be afraid to open yourselves up to another kitty or two (or five in the house).
