When the City of San Francisco's mayor is found to have sold marriage licenses that are not valid, are the gays entitled to get their money back? I thing they should be. Can you imagine the run on City Hall?

On the same day the mayor is busted for Fraud.

What are your reasons? I would be upset if somebody had sold me an invalid license of any kind. Marriage or otherwise.

NO!
They don't get their money back!
Nor do they get...
their virtue back !
They don't get their dignity back !
They don't get their health back !
They don't get their self respect back!
They don't get their pride back !
They don't get their virginity back !
The fact is they may try , but they only fool themselves!

No because they knew it was illegal when they applied.

They never had any dignity or self respect but they did put out the dollars. I imagine it was at least 20 or 30 to get a license. Times how many? That's quite a haul! Maybe we could do the same next week in a different city to make some more money. I think SF should be made out to be the laughing stock of the US for the insane thing that they did. The mayor should have a big boot up his ya ha and should have to stand out in front of everybody and hand back every dollar. That, to me, would be worth watching.

They won't apply to get their money back.
They got what they wanted.
They don't care that it isn't valid.
They are very happy with the invalid certificate.
Very, very happy.
Gay, in fact.

Mrs. Fierro was wondering the same thing.

Sure they should get their money back. Generally speaking, they just paid thinking they were getting what they wanted. Since they weren't and it's basically the city's (or rather, the Mayor's) fault, they're due.
