My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Wedding Bell Blues
The chance to marry young people,
Does not come to every one,
You need to be a minister,
It takes more than a Bible or gun.
I married a lesbian couple,
(Theyre no longer living in sin.)
But what will be their response to,
The sneaky trick I slipped in?
I rewrote the words a little,
That seemed to be the need,
They hardly noticed my mischief,
And thats how I sprung the deed.
They think they married each other,
You could see the joy in their eyes,
But when they head out for the honeymoon,
Theyre in for a big surprise.
I couldnt resist the temptation,
They were quite lovely to see,
Just imagine their consternation,
To find out they married Me!
They both have lots of money now,
But for divorce Ill file.
They never saw me coming on,
They missed me by a mile.
Oh, wait. Im doomed, I see it now,
Oh how could I not see.
By marrying this couple,
Ive committed bigamy.
What? Bigamys not a problem?
Marriage has been redefined?
The property settlements coming,
I wonder which one will mind.
Im getting what I want out of this deal,
But one of thems left behind.
A reconciliation?
Someone must be out of her mind.
Or maybe its me whos gone crazy,
To have ever thought that I could,
Please two ladies who dont want any part of me,
Even parts that I thought were real good!
Now that marriage has no meaning,
Doors have opened widely.
A duck, a cow, a goat, or sheep,
Can be made to look bridely.
But with the women I will stick,
It's what has worked so far.
Besides who wants to take a pig,
Out to their favorite bar?

Out to their favorite bar?
I think they have discovered,
Im not a useless catch,
For what they spent on C cells,
My food bill is a match.
It may be they can take me,
A little better than they thought,
One told me, Like fishing,
A worm can get you caught.
A bit more preparation,
There would have been less to correct.
Instead of a separation,
Were having a trial connect.

A Walk In The Dark
In moonlight, things look different then in the day,
becoming almost another world, another reality.
Our insights shift, and different rules apply I say,
and multi-tones of gray become how we see.
Simple things become complex, and shadows play,
and dragons form from ancient trees, and we sense fear.
Sounds become strange, and we hear many things that stray,
and we find the night so different, depending on what we hear.
Our imagination rises to the forefront of our minds,
creating scenes we cant see, except between our ears.
On that fertile canvas, a plethora of pictures play we find,
enough to fill our memories, enough to fill the years.
So take care when you walk alone in the dark of night,
remember all is not as it seems, something, are quite safe.
Let not the night touch off your fear, its likely all is all right,
and that surrying sound is really not there, stop acting like a waif.

The Lonely Watch
A sentry stands and looks into the night,
looking for so many things, some are in their heart.
Scanning for motion, or that odd sound, not right,
or just that certain feeling that gives one a start.
Theres the soft checking of the safety, and the magazine as well,
is the sling out of the way, are the night scope batteries good ?
One ponders of they heeded to sharpen their knife before night fell,
and did they have enough water, did they fill the canteen like they should?
Many thoughts pass through their minds, of families, friends, and home,
faces pass before their eyes, and words spoken there now have meaning.
In the long night they live many scenes of home, where every thought roams,
and their heart is void by the distance shared, and filled by their heart's leaning.
In the night a thousand thoughts come to them in silent parade,
and memories grow oh so bright, and they remember all in the night.
Only at the end of the watch do they try to tone it out, their dues theyve paid,
and they hope sleep comes soon, to spare them more of memories bite.

While Resting
A sigh, soft as her breath,
deep from within her self,
echoes in me.
She lays as still as death,
yet so alive, like an immortal elf,
sleeping quietly she be.
Her form is garbed in a single sheet,
laying in disarray,
across her lovely form.
I remember how we did so quaintly meet,
finding the other in play,
amid loves joyous storm.
Her sweet smile is my treasure,
as she remembers our love making,
as do I.
There is joy in our pleasure,
and understanding in our aching,
as love flies.

Together again
we rest in our love
how I missed you
while you were gone
Resting again with you
wrapped in cotton and satin
and moonlight black lace
patterns on the wall
warm summer breezes
gently rolling in open windows
ocean waves crashing
against the beach
falling, falling smashing
like the crescendo of our love
Together again we two
to never part
one heart
one mind
one love
together again....

Lace and satin make you an image to remember,
How can one forget, or that image ever dim,
in my mind, or heart.
All those moments are engraven,
as if set in hardened stone,
yet ever warm within.
Let us hold them close, my dear,
and let their fusion bond us,
forever and a day.

The edges fade, as time begins its ravage
But the inner page that holds my heart remains
Memories may fade and drift to nothingness
But my love for you remains - forever.
Nice!

Space between
loving hearts
creates a bond
going way beyond
a loving time
when you are mine...
