My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Words
I tried to write a little rhyme,
Expressing no deep thought.
But trouble came along my way,
I wrestled, kicked, and fought.
It seems that I was overdrawn,
And now the payment's due.
I'm out of words to finish this,
Could I get some from you?

Ever write a chain poem? You write a verse then pass it. They write a verse and pass it. etc....

I am SO not gonna play that game!
I tend to hog the microphone.
By the time it gets back to me, I'm three pages ahead, just like it was in school!

Yes, CG, I'll have some time
to help you with this little rhyme
I hope you like to dance
with me.. not that many
get the chance you see...
I'll step on your toes
spill coffee on your clothes
mess with your mind
then let my bells chime....
I think I had better end
this here... there is no
future in this rhyme
you're too good for
me it seems
go find your shadow
in the seams!!!!

There are rules that must be followed young man. You only get to go when it's your turn and you can go on any tangent you please but only within the structure that is passed to you.
Example
Explain to me the reason,
That he is in this race?
John Kerry is a commie,
And has a horsey face.
Now you add an equal number of syllables and pass it. NOW!

My shadow knows the inner parts of me
the ones I hide from you, you see...
I hide them in my little caches
and bring them out for me to see
in midnight hours when no eyes
are peering at me...
My shadow does a fancy dance
every time it gets a chance
to slide around in blackest night
and scare the hell out of me.
I like my shadow in late afternoon
it's much thinner than me and
clearly more healthy too
my Shadow does not eat for me
it runs and hides behind a tree....
Oh my gosh this is getting funny
Hey there Bob you got some money???

I climbed my mountain with my love
and sang to him like a turtle dove
he held my hand and looked
at me with loving eyes
his like crystal seas
we never said the words
aloud, but knew in hearts
they are gold, not to be
tossed around like weeds
but little tiny baby seeds
We planted them and
watched them grow
to bud then flower
in our hearts and
knowing that our love
is there for us to see
for us to share
For us to hold like a precious gem
warming us like an inner sun
guiding us in our nights
for us there when we take flight.....

"Don't make me come looking for you!" Don't threaten me, you young rapscallion!
I'm in my senile stage rebellion.
I'll pound on you with rhythmic verses,
Bedraggled, you will tell the nurses,
"The hooves of Lippizanner Stallions..."

Your ranting rage it scares me not!
I dropped some change beneath this cot.
For under here I'd never hide,
Don't think one second, I have lied,
For I'm a man not a wee tot.

You scare me not with your old wives' tales
My verses hit like hooves of Clydesdales.
Like the rappers, doom 'a preachin',
Your turf war will see rhymes 'a screechin',
And I'll make money from the rights sales.
