My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

My Work from February 2003
I saw you standing in the startling ruby sunset
I realized how beautiful you are to me
and if we are preoccupied with passion
is it for the moment
you will always be beautiful to me
Is it an illusion that I dare doubt
we climbed our pyramid to the stars
embraced the dawn with our fears,
our joys, our flaws...
we learned they were carved
in the ancient statues worn down
by heavy rains and desert winds
can we withstand such assaults
and remain stand side by side
to watch the startling ruby sunset
You will always be beautiful to me
bentfeather
I was your shadow
not aware of your pain
you could have told me
trusted me with this
why did you deny me
why do one of us
have to be the shadow
in your shadow I drew
succor from you
that was the illusion that I dare doubt
it was your pain
that I was your shadow
bentfeather
In your absence
my hair turned to silver
I am old
you have not changed
your shy smile
your wrinkled brow
are still endearing
your strength has not waned
your muscles grown flabby
the strong laugh
so full of life and youth
you are the epitome of chivalry

The above song is cut short, I have no idea why? :-(

I liked that last one, the best of the three.
The roses were a nice touch, too.
To: Old Sarge
Hi Sarge, I am here with the laptop. I am much slower with this than my Mac.

you have not changed Your face remains the same
The only difference I see
are the smudges
from where I have kissed
your dear picture
Your body is identical
It fills my mind
in the same loving way
your sweet curves
filled my hands
Your voice remains
Singing as a seraph choir
filling my nights with song
my days with joy
and my heart with hope.

Well you have the talent to begin with.
Sorry I was gone a bit. My Mac needs to update to a faster running system and more memory. I prefer it to my laptop which is a PC and Windows.

I wish I had a laptop. I might never stop writing and even let people read some of it. Thank you for the kind words, too!

I bought my laptop last fall as I was traveling around our nation. I was bound and determined not to be unwired.
I have a satellite card, also. Unfortunately when in TN at radu's place I was in an area where there was no service, I about went nuts. Radu kindly let me use her computer, but she was having virus problems poor dear.
I left my home Sept. 11th and arrived in Nashville that evening, I was picked at the airport by radu and her hubby. I had a wonderful time with them.
The Lair was just getting under way and Sam and snippy helped to keep things running those times I could not get on the web.

I am equally determined, but not enough disposable income tends to kill the rest of the deal. :)
But now it is time for bed. Back to work tomorrow! Let's dance soon. It has been too long.
