My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

poem 1 for thought.
Trike
Where Are We At?
I remember an America different then today,
where children laughed and life went on.
Now its shifting into paths with high tolls to pay,
where we are no longer free, just pro or con!
Rights slip away like ice melting in the sun,
where respect is litigated, and too many loop holes arise.
We cant seem to hold them, just watching as they run,
and along the way we lose, and America slowly dies.
God is banned as if He were evil, and to the left He is,
the final judgement scares them so, they reject Him for us all.
His words are belittled, and lost in jangling rhetoric whiz,
Values taught are soon forgot as long as life can be a ball.
Country means less now, so many expect it to always be the same,
patriotic fervor is replaced by MTV and NFL.
And yet they miss the fact its nearly gone, except in tattered name,
apathy, the saddest death, for no one cares to see its hell.
Everything is tainted with race, this to make it better they say,
as somehow one had the right to not be offended over any other right.
Lawsuits and media and stories of half truths the cards they play,
and America becomes less each time that truth takes off the night!
Marriage is being warped into something only the left could respect,
and sad to say the price well pay is the loss of all weve been.
Too many say they are standing for America, yet were getting decked,
and what we have is but a shadow of what we once were back then.
Forty years of madness, and the left has won them all,
and things are looking bad, and no one gathers to fight for our rights.
Cause were all glued to TV sets to watch which Survivor falls,
and America is going away and without a single fight.
Stand if your American, and if the Bill of Rights is yours,
take back that which once was yours, and keep it in the light.
Fight the left and win this one, or these will be conquered shores,
and we will pass away, far from Freedoms guiding sight.

poem 2, for love.
Trike
You My Love
You have seen me at my less then best,
and still you gently hold me near.
and even seen me deep in private memories test,
and amid my fear, held me till they passed so near.
My broken bones and surgeries at a fast pace,
and all the dings and dents to hand.
You handled them with amazing grace,
and seemed to perhaps even understand.
I would give you all the world,
if I but knew the way to do it all for you.
I cant, and that hurt within my heart is hurled,
into the dark places where I keep it subdued.
I give instead the limits of all my soul can feel,
and try to do better along the path we share.
Loving you without restrain or hidden from the real,
I call it out to every star above, no gold could be so fair.

Hi Trike, thank you for two beautiful poems.
Trusting your body is healing and your pain is lessening.

Good morning to all!
A quiet Suday so far. I hope everyone ate lots of candy yesterday. Then I won't feel so bad for having done it myself :)

Good morning Colonel. No candy for me yesterday but glad you had some.
We have a beautiful sunny morning in The Empire State, and a temp of 10F.
Trust you are getting stronger with each new day.

To: All
Hold within your arms a sun
And let it smile and wish you well.
Play with it, and when you're done,
Put it where you'll never tell.
Your sun will smile just for you,
Being yours, and yours alone,
Inside your palace, out of view,
Resting in a place unknown.
The sun we wish for you is bright,
Happy doing what suns will:
Daring to hold off the night
As loves and dreams your future fill,
Your cares caress and sorrows still.

Butterflight:
Soar on the wings of eagles? Or dragonflies? No, not.
The luna moth of Doctor's fame must never be forgot.
I'd choose a butterfly for me, to dance about the day,
My mini-bucking bronco, fluttering each and every way.
It would be fascinating, to hiccup as we glide,
And dusting flakes of rainbow onto people as we ride.
The butterfly, a gentle soul, seeking sweetest nectar,
Daintly dipping in to sip, I think we all respect her.
And children would be looking up, and laughing as we go,
And grown-ups too, would shyly smile, enjoying us also.
I'd carry along wind chimes, like sleigh bells for the sun,
The tinkling music fills the air behind us when we're done.
What else could I take along? Some perfumes for the nose?
I'd spread them out, as we flutter about, and fill the air with Rose.
And Lilac, other sweetness, to sprinkle as we fly,
'Til dogs would all be sneezing, and smile as we go by.
And if your spirits lifted from the turbulence of my wake,
I hope you understand it was exactly for that's sake.
One day perhaps we all can laugh, and love, and sigh,
In spirit-lifting loveliness, 'til all of time goes by.

Morning at the Window
They are rattling breakfast plates in basement kitchens,
And along the trampled edges of the street
I am aware of the damp souls of housemaids
Sprouting despondently at area gates.
The brown waves of fog toss up to me
Twisted faces from the bottom of the street,
And tear from a passer-by with muddy skirts
An aimless smile that hovers in the air
And vanishes along the level of the roofs.

Good morning Sam!!
"Morning at the Window", a little different, I guess, but none the less, interesting. Wonderful graphic.
Listening to the tunes, some I've not heard in a good while. Nice to hear them again.
