Yes, he does.
And I find it quite hilarious that these liberal Jews are freaking out over this movie, remain quite silent over the trash that their Jewish brethren have been producing in Hollywood for 60 years+.

I am a good friend to Jews. Jesus was a Jew and because of my faith, I love Jews and will defend them to the death.
But they are all wet WRT "The Passion." All wet!

Although I haven't seen this film yet, I can guarantee that it will never ever make me hate or blame the Jews. How sad that those who are against this film think otherwise.

I have only seen short trailers of the movie on the internet, and I am moved greatly. I imagine my response to Jews after this will be, "THank you, thank you, thank you." I know you did not kill Him, I did, but because of the faith of your father Abraham, I have a chance to share in the promise of G-d."

Thanks for posting this article. What a pleasant surprise I received as I started reading it further and further...I had intended to grin and bear it while I read it. I figured the piece would attempt to trash Mel and Passion.
To: Mr. Mulliner
They failed at everything they attempted. They were hoping to ruin Gibson rather than enrich him. That often happens when you try to dis The Man. (Jesus, not Mel.)

All right! Rabbi Lapin is a bridge builder between Jews and evangelical Christians and he understands the situation. Lapin is a blessing to us all.

Strangely, I have a little problem with this movie, and I'm a Christian. This movie is absolutely historically inaccurate as it is in Latin, when only the Romans spoke the true "Latin". The original text of the gospels is in Greek, with many people of that day speaking Aramaic and other 'dead' languages.
Just a note.

That's because he's a religious man himself. People of different religions quite obviously don't agree on many things (or else we wouldn't have different religions) but those who have a proper respect for their own religion will most likely respect the religious sensibilities of others.
The vast majority of the detractors of this film don't even respect their own faith, much less respect somebody else's. And that applies whether or not the detractors call themselves "Jew" or "Christian".

I consider it crucially important for Christians to know that not all Jews are in agreement with their self-appointed spokesmen. We know. Thank you Rabbi.

Most American Jews, experiencing warm and gracious interactions each day with their Christian fellow-citizens, would feel awkward trying to explain why so many Jewish organizations seem focused on an agenda hostile to Judeo-Christian values. Many individual Jews have shared with me their embarrassment that groups, ostensibly representing them, attack Passion but are silent about depraved entertainment that encourages killing cops and brutalizing women. Citing artistic freedom, Jewish groups helped protect sacrilegious exhibits such as the anti-Christian feces extravaganza presented by the Brooklyn Museum four years ago.
One can hardly blame Christians for assuming that Jews feel artistic freedom is important only when exercised by those hostile toward Christianity. However, this is not how all Jews feel.
Hear hear.
Outstanding post.

Nobody elected Abe Foxman as a spokesman for Jews, keep that in mind. Jews like myself were telling the ADL to shut the John Kerry up because they looked petty and their inappropriate self-appointments as censors were illegitimate.

This movie is absolutely historically inaccurate You are mistaken. The only people who claim as you do are the liberal Jews and a few pathetic ecumenicals who call themselves "scholars."
