What visual do you think of as "calming?" What color is the most calming to you? Thanks so much for taking the time to answer these two questions!

    I find blue most calming.
Especially a calm blue sunny oceanview.
To: NordP
I find the ocean most calming and the color blue.
To: NordP
I visualize a beach. The color for me is pink. I say pink because I know that it's been long believed that pink (light pink) causes a calming effect. Indeed, many prisons have "pink rooms" that are used as temporary holding areas for the unruly.

A view overlooking grassy hills with groups of large trees swaying in a stiff summer breeze. Birds chirping, leaves and grass rustling the only sounds.

And green to go along with that.
To: NordP; Consort
The visual is my garden gnome with a little hoe in his hands.

The color is lavender. Thank you to Consort for the color chart.
To: Consort
Thanks for the chart - wow, very nice!
And, continued thanks for everyone's answers.

Now are you SURE that Viking purple didn't have a bearing on your decision?
Personally, Viking purple stresses me out! ha ha

Purple stresses me out too. It's too overwhelming.

In addition to lavender, I also like light blue.

I would have thought oceanfront and green also. My favorites too. But when I looked at the chart, it was Indian Red that gave me a most calm feeling.
