Oh goodness gracious, I fear ah might offended some yankeewomen who might want to join the southern Ya Ya Sisterhood society, but aren't eligible because of their unfortunate ancestry.
So, I have downgraded the criteria of membership. If you have a deviled egg serving dish and an nice set of pearls, you are welcome.

I'm not troubled by the Yankees in my family (They were from the South) As they were fighting for the survival of a nation.
I'm more upset by the discovery that some of them DID own slaves (which until about 2 years ago I thought they were not slaveholders.
Now I'm confused.

Perhaps you are wondering of the purpose of a southern Ya Ya Sisterhood secret society?
Well, one of our activities is stealing great recipes (grannie's) but never giving any of our own out to yankee women. We know this is working because Mo had never cooked cornbread until this past New Year Day...and she probably never put a bit of sugar in the batter.

My great uncle, John Daniel Rust invented the cotton picker and put them out of a job, though. LOL

In reality, There is only one of my ancesters who owned slave (who he treated as family members I'm told) but I don't know if any of his children or grandchildren were slaveholders.

Okay, sistah, you are on the list. So far, it is just you and me for the Ya Ya Sisterhood. But, wait till the others find out we are going to a great vacation paradise (as yet unplanned) for our initiation. They will be begging to wear funny southern hats and drink highballs to join us.

So THAT"S what y'all are up to!
Resty, I tried again but it won't accept the credit card number I supplied them with and I know the card is good because I used it just this morning and it worked fine.
It's reallity a credit union visa credit/debit card. I have no major credit cards anymore since I maxed out on both of the ones I had (am still paying on one of them) I cancelled the cards and have no plans to replace them. Is there any other way to pay for a subscription for Ancestry.com?

Advice: Don't wait for the DVD on this one.
Some things aren't worth saving a few bucks for, some things are. The big screen makes it a very different experience and in this case worth going out for.
In general I agree with the philosphy of wait and pay less.........just can't urge you strongly enough to go see this now.

I never thought I'd hate anyone more then the Clintons .. Kerry is in a dead heat tie for that one Ummmmmmmmm........if you take Kerry's smarminess and put it together with a folksy Southern accent, add pathological and effective liar to the recipe, put a dash of good acting skills, a pinch of willingness to do anything to be elected......and......
Poof!
A Clinton.......double that and you have two times the effect or two for the price of one.
No contest........Kerry is no Clinton.
Not saying I have any admiration or liking for Kerry.......

and put it together with a folksy Southern accent, And, praytell, what is a 'folksy" southern accent? You are so kind as to capitalize Southern, though.
