You should locate some of the books - much of the humor in them is verbal, and in the narration rather than the dialog. They're a hoot! The shows are good, too...but as usual pale in comparison to the original stories.

Seconding the "read the books!" suggestion. Wodehouse has a really dry wit that just comes out brilliantly on the written page.
Rosie, the book I recommended to you last night, "To Say Nothing of the Dog" has some Wodehousian flavor...
