Well, I saw "Die Hard" last night on tv, for the first time, liked it except for the gatuitous helicoptor explosion.
Very funny that it was before cell phones, the criminals were cutting off communication merely by cutting phone lines! Also, Bruce Willis looked very young.
What's going on around the Hole lately?

Hi Sam, nice to see you! So, you've seen Die Hard, huh? I secretly love that movie. Except there's a little too much language. I like Alan Rickman as the evil German terrorist.
Not much been happening here. Just talk and stuff.

I liked the first Die Hard movie. I seem to recall that it came out right at the transition between movies where the gunplay and violence level was still somewhat restrained and movies where they'd show indiscriminate shooting and hundreds of deaths on screen (which I believe Die Hard 2 set a record for with like 200+ onscreen deaths). It's striking to compare movies from that time, not too long ago, to now, and to see how far the development in that area has progressed (compare with, say, the machine-gun scenes in Matrix 3). But anyway, I liked the first Die Hard. I think the scene I remember most vividly was Bruce Willis running across the broken glass in his bare feet--ouch!
