Sorry for my absence here and especially at Entmoot. I am particularly sorry to have missed out on the fun of the shower! Truth be told, a number of obstacles struck at just the wrong time and at the last minute for me to make it. And I didn't even let you guys know, shame on me!
Anyway, I wanted to let you'all know that I'm still alive, and feeling pretty sheepish about the whole thing. I don't want to bore you with the details, but just wanted to say I'm sorry for standing you'all up!
Hope you all will forgive me for being absent and incommunicado!
PS: do you guys still chat in the chatroom?

Yep, those are pretty common shears in the hospital. I've used them many times.
I'm waiting to hear back from my connection in Afghanistan...he is supposedly over a group of soldiers there.

Ok...I got the appointment. I'm taking Joshua to school on Tuesday, dropping Matthew off with my mom then heading over to the beauty school for a haircut and a "natural manicure with no polish". (I must admit, I think I sounded most knowledgable when I asked for what I wanted.)
Hair costs $6, nails cost $7. How much should I tip per item? In case I get a different person for each thing...
I have not the foggiest idea.

Trust me, no danger of that! My parents are out of town and they said the only thing they're unhappy about is missing the sermon - he's preaching on Romans 8 right now and man... well, there's a reason we drive an hour to get to church on Sundays!
Besides, I have to keep little brothers in line in the pew :)

I just got my chickens put up for the night. Did you know I have chickens? Four very sweet girls that lay me four eggs almost every single day!

I did remember that, actually. In fact, I've seen some of the pictures.
Too much fun....

First part of our moot we hung out at Scott's and then went for Pizza.... didn't take any pictures of that 'cept one at the house of his dogs...
After pizza we went for a walk around Tacoma....
Then we went to a fancy Doggie Boutique and I bought a new squeeky toy.... ecurbh ate a dog biscuit with frosting on it.
Doggie backpacks and doggie tents
This was some kind of slingshot cross-bow thing that shoots baseballs a long ways for dogs that like to fetch...

It's really going well.. though this isn't writing for my writing class and it really should be. Just for my current work in progress, but oh, I like this piece and I like these characters and I'm letting myself skip ahead and write the happy reunion scene now.
But I will be getting to bed soon, as I don't want to be cranky on my way to church. Though the organ cures that problem pretty quick!
