I'm going to check the prices at the beauty college nearby. If they are reasonable, I may get myself one when I get my hair cut.

Here's how this all got started.

I got my feet fixed up, right? Got that deep cut all healed up, my feet are looking better than they have looked in years. So I took to painting my toenails. When I was getting ready to paint them, I needed the toenail clippers which were in the manicure set that Steve gave me (a few year back, in an attempt to get me to take care of my nails and quit pulling them off). So I got out the buffer and started buffing my toenails...it's labeled 1,2,and 3.

I got finished trimming, buffing my toenails and thought "Wow, that looks pretty nice!" So I painted them. By then, my back was killing me and although I loved the way they looked, I dreaded ever having to do it again and thought "Man, I'd be willing to pay someone to do this, almost." ("Man" being a term commonly used in the 70s, as you know.)

Then, at another time, I did my fingernails with the buffer and that's when I realized that it inhibited the habit of pulling my nails off! But again, I found it very tedious. That's when I thought "This would actually be a worthwhile thing to pay for, perhaps?"

But I didn't know what to ask for so I asked my fellow hobbit hole dwellers and now here I am...calling a beauty school on Monday!

The fingernail manicure might be something worth getting without it having to be a gift. The pedicure would likely have to wait for a special occassion.

reminds me of when I was attached to the ROK Marines... there was snow on the ground, but since the temps were in the 30s, it wasn't cold enuff to turn on the hot water in the barracks... needless tuh say, showers were brief...
