The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Welll...I hate to go that far. If it's a Saturday and I'm in no hurry to get somewhere, I don't mind as much...except that most of the time around here, there's no easy way to get around 'em, and people get angry with you if you DON'T try to go around.

Tractors are worse, but usually the drivers are courteous enough to pull over every so often and let a group of people by.

For Friday night, we're being told there is the potential for "significant snow or ice". I'm hoping for snow, if we have to get one or the other.

Mmm, yeah... but really, it gest annoying when I have to keep downshifting and upshifting, when I should just be tooling along.

Thank goodness, no snow on the ground here yet, so I can get to classes. Tomorrow they say freezing rain... ugh...

Melanie Griffith's plastic surgery--->being content with one's self--->what I would change if I could--->what I have absolutely no interest in changing.

We only got about an inch of snow and it's already melting. Fine with me.

Matthew is sick. Not very, just cold and cough type thing. But my mom takes Enbrel injections for her arthritis and won't be able to keep him because it lowers her immune system. I won't be going to the funeral this morning.

Though I guess...you're probably right. Thinking about it a bit more.

Naw, he's pretty noisy. Hacked and coughed all night, sniffling. He can't breath even through his nose, poor kid!

I'm gonna take Josh to school here in a bit, but otherwise, I imagine he'll have a pretty relaxing day. Light schoolwork.

I gave him a cold tab with sudafed in it and it knocked him out cold for a while, though...he got some good sleep for a couple of hours at least.

It is so funny, how sudafed will do that to him. It just wires me to the ceiling!

Heh... I always enjoy drugging my little brothers when they're ill. It tends to settle them down and the house gets quiet.

Quiet...just like the thread is now...

Maybe I'll go work on my profile page...maybe even put some pictures of me up. I've been shy about doing that, but...

Oh, yes, do that! I've been too lazy to do that....

Man, am I tired. I've had two cans of caffeine already and it hasn't kicked in.

Matthew just sacks out with sudafed and benadryl doesn't do anything to him. If I take sudafed it just makes me go nuts, my hands shake, I'm grumpy. If I take benadryl, I'm out like a light!
