The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Off to watch another episode or two of Scrapped Princess. Tried to talk brothers into coming to watch, too...but it didn't work.

Hey howdy there... LTNS.

and... howdy everybody!

Well... since yesterday I've gone from firing people to handing out kudos and raises and bonuses to everybody else. What a strange twisted world I live in.

Eye medicine...

My brother's cat, Bear, had something going on with his eye that prevented him from opening it. I thought it might be a scratch or an infection. I went over to mom's and took the cat to the vet. Turns out the cat had Herpes, and I had to break it to mom that the cat had a prescription for birth control pills! LOL

Never told my brother. He would have flipped.

Rosie; sorry to hear about the kitty, we hope for the best possible outcome.
A lot of the vets do tend to be non-committal for the most part, there are a lot of unknowns until they can see what they are dealing with.

BTW you know, just about all the jokes about giving kitties medicine are true, they are generally remarkedly recalciterant in that regard.

Neither did I. It was a hoot. Mom and I laughed a long time over that one. I am not sure how he got it (the vet specified only that it was the feline version), but that was the diagnosis.

Can you imagine telling your brother that his male cat has Herpes, and has to take *birth control pills* to get rid of the inflamation? ROFL! It all sounds too much like a joke.

More to the point... I didn't know cats could take birth control pills.

Boy... is my cat gonna be mad about that little surgery some time ago...

More to the point.... I am not sure birth control pills are gonna help the Herpes situation.
