In my novel I'm trying to develop a heroine who is both feminine in a traditional sense yet also an independently-developed character that is interesting in her own right
Good morning everyone!

psoriatic arthritisHad a boyfriend with this.... pretty bad sometimes. He was also on Methotrexate. Mom also took Methotrexate (in much higher doses) for her Cancer, as I am sure you know about. I always wondered, if Methotrexate stops all cell growth, and folks with psoriasis take it their whole life, do they never get Cancers?

Hidalgo, is unfair to Muslims and Arabs.....presents unfair stereotypes of Muslims and Arabs. What, that they all wear flowing robes, ride pretty horses and live in the desert?

Good morning! How's the weather?Clear and sunny, a little cold, but will warm up when the sun has come over the trees!
To: HairOfTheDog
Sounds nice... it's sunny and slightly warm here but we're supposed to get snow tonight.
Sigh... why on earth does my college need a paper "proving" I can do college level work before they will - not enroll me, not accept my tuition money, but award my degree?

muttermuttermutter.... it's blackmail, frankly, since I'm supposed to graduate in eight weeks. I don't have time to fight their stupid rule. So instead I waste hours yelling at the school district people. Argh.

Dals are difficult dogs for a few reasons -- extremely high energy (that doesn't really tone down that much with age), a high level of athleticism (energy+athleticism=naughtiness when you are away), emotional inconsistency (if they are calm the slightest thing, like a light suddenly shining outside or a bird flying close by, or heaven forbid a squirrel showing up will turn them into nuclear balls of loud aggressive energy with no time lapse between calm and chaos), they have very loud barks which they use with little provocation, and they shed heavily daily (women hate this!)
They have much on the good side of the ledger -- but those are the reasons people think of them as difficult.
To: HairOfTheDog
Heh, no - what I need is a letter from the school district saying I complied with all rules and regulations as a homeschooler. So it's their whim, and we all know how motivated school employees in general are.

Guy named Jim Dale. I don't know who he is, but he does a good job. He's narrated several kids books on tape. Do you remember the movie, Pete's Dragon? Jim Dale played the conniving traveling salesman who wanted to steal the dragon.
He is also and accomplished Broadway actor; has starred in several big musicals.
To: SuziQ
Oh good heavens, I thought that movie was freaky enough before.
Got to run to class. See you all this evening!

I see.... I guess this here paper on J Robert Oppenheimer isn't gonna work for ya.... But the gradeschool one about what I did on my summer vacation might be able to be adapted for that...
Too bad, because the Oppenheimer paper is better.
