The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Yes, central heat. i dont have any heat. Just a couple of little square heater fan things that oscillate.

Cindy is coming this weekend and bringing me the tickets, and the parking pass. I'll mail you guys your tickets when I get them so we won't have to worry about finding each other before hand.

I am going to need a break by then with all this extra work I've got to do this spring! I'll be totally ready to cut loose by then! maybe.

Well, even if you mail the tickets we might have time to try to meet. I'm going to have to get directions to whereever this is. I haven't a clue.
I emailed PQ about some of the decisions but don't expect to hear from her till she catches up at work.

Am I all alone here now?Not quite, but I've been busy elsewhere on FR. I'm trying to convince one of our active duty Freepers that, no, we're not insane here. And yes, we want him to have one of our HHD specials as a token of our esteem.
I've also got another knife going out to a non-Freeper. He's a retired treadhead colonel who's being recalled for a six-month tour in an undisclosed "hostile area of the world". I'm not at liberty to disclose his name, but he writes books, and has appeared on assorted cable news shows as a military expert who really DOES know what he's talking about.

Sounds like good work WM. I applaud the effort. :-)
I mailed off 5 boxes today. Not much to speak of. One box for each group/person on my list. However, I have a few more items to mail - not many... Today was chips and salsa mailing day. Way late but at least I got it out finally. Now what I have left is some boxes of donuts. Hopefully will get those in the mail tomorrow.
Been wiped out from work. Have 3 people offering their help and that is helping me a lot. Still behind though because of catching up on things from being gone. End of the quarter next week though. Guess I'll spend my week off working on marketing videos. oh joy.

Oh, fun for me. I was away from the thread when you posted cause I used the *best* printer at work tonight to make myself some new portraits of the 2 youngest grandkids and one group photo of the 3 to hang on the wall here. :-)
I was hanging the new photos.
You know how parents usually have *way* more photos of the first kid and then never have time for photos of the younger ones? (not me - I've got lots of both) Jill and Tom kinda did that though. So, I made my own portraits that I needed. Kinda fun.

Good morning! We only got four inches or a bit more of snow! Yay!
In other words I was able to shovel quickly and then make an omelet to eat for breakfast...I have my priorities, ya know...
Nobody was in much of a talking mood last night, no? Usually it takes me a long time to catch up!

Good morning. Ish. Whatever. I have a full ten minutes before I have to leave, and I'm wearing smaller pants than I was yesterday. Both good things. And it's Wednesday.

Wednesday...it's all downhill from here! Plus you have Tuesday out of the way, right?
Congrats on the smaller pants!
To: RosieCotton
We didn't get snow and I guess the ice wasn't too bad. Little brother's school isn't delayed, so other than the lake just after our driveway... I really don't like driving through three inches of standing water but I haven't got a choice.

:-) Thanks. Every time I think about hating dieting I remember how glad I was at Entmoot that I'd lost all that weight before meeting all you guys... I'm vain, I guess, but it matters.

I, on the other hand, was at my heaviest ever. On the bright side...it means I'm not likely to look worse at next Entmoot. Especially if I get to do a lot of heavy duty hiking this summer, as I hope to.
Time to brush my teeth and head out the door. Hopefully today is a good work day! I have the most unpleasant task out of the way - replacing that one user's PC while she watched, which involved taking the hard drive out of the old one temporarily, which tends to freak users out. But I lived to tell the tale!
See you later!
To: JenB
Have you started shopping for the final little red dress yet? ;-)
To: RosieCotton
See you tonight, seven-ish!
