The Hobbit Hole VI - And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
Posted on 01/31/2004 9:52:08 AM PST by ecurbh
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
And Whither Then? I Cannot Say...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Well, I gather that Fedora has signed off for the night, but I don't want to keep you waiting, so... highlight for a Quincy spoiler! Is that canonical, or is it just your interpretation? Was the final ep advertised as "learn Quincy's first name!"? I see the explanation as reasonable, but not necessarily definitive.
I'm still trying to track down all the eps of "Enterprise" that WKBD pre-empts for the Pistons, and then rebroadcasts at unadvertised times. About half the episodes are worthwhile (a high percentage for the Trek franchise), and with my luck, I'm missing the good ones.

Naw, it's non-canonical, just my interpretation. All the FAQ sites I can Google say his first name was never mentioned, but a business card was once shown with his first initial, an "R."
I believe UPN rebroadcasts Enterprise on Sundays, but that may be subject to the whim of the local channels.

I believe UPN rebroadcasts Enterprise on Sundays, but that may be subject to the whim of the local channels. Trust me, WKBD is VEY whimsical when it comes to sceduling during basketball season. Sometimes I can stumble upon a "new" episode in the summer, when things are being rerun for a fourth time.

Had to report on the last afternoon for ROTK at the Cinerama. When I got there, 45 minutes early, there was already a line, which surprised me. The theater was full by showtime, which was very gratifying. People clapped at the end and at various points during the movie, although there was one obnoxious guy who seemed to laugh at everything, even at the most inappropriate places. It almost felt like a premiere with such a full, enthusiastic audience. I was gratified to see it still drawing such a crowd. Too bad Cinerama has to have their film festival now, or I daresay they'd keep it around for a while longer.

Good morning... cool and rainy here, a line of showers is moving through the area...
Time for some breakfast!

Good morning! Nice sunny warm day here, too! Hopefully I get to go snowshoeing with Dad later! And tonight I'm going to see the movie.
Time to head out to church. See ya later...wish I had more time to catch up here!

It had rained a good bit here when I got home. And sometime in the dark hours of the night I woke up to rain again....and went right back to sleep. :-)

We ran into some drizzle just south of Waco, *snif* You know when you go over the long overpass on the interstate in Temple? Well, if you know where to look, just to the east, there's a creek with a pecan bottom (it's 3 blocks from the interstate) ... just under those pecan trees lives Schloweiss now. My brother used to ride his bike to that overpass whenever tornados were in the area so he could watch! LOL

Good morning Hawaiian Wedding Princess!
Bear wore a Hawaiin shirt last night! I believe we are getting in the mood for your day already!
LOL... I asked him if I could borrow it. The one he had on was really a nice print! :-)

I wish I could join you for the preview stuff, but I'm guessing I won't be able to get there until around 6:30.
I have rehearsal till 5, and then I'll race down there to join you.
Looking forward to it!
To: Penny1
OK doll..... but you're gonna miss a lot of the show!
To: HairOfTheDog
I know! If only I could figure out a way out of this rehearsal, but it's difficult when you're the director! :o
To: Penny1
I suppost you are right.
Hope there's still some popcorn left when ya get here...
To: Wneighbor
At least here is we eat till we feel like I do now we can lay out on the couch! :-) Couches! That is the only thing that JT's is missing... (I had a bowl of banana pudding when we got home ~ I needed a taste of something sweet, too) I fell asleep trying to start reading some more Silmarillion. After about 5-10 mintues, PE said he could hear me snoring. I woke up some time in the middle of the night, with an incredible crick in my neck from sleeping sitting up, with my head lopped to the side (like little kids sleep in the car).

Say, did you see the episode where they revealed Quincy's first name? It was only mentioned once! There's one episode where his business card says "Dr. R. Quincy" :)
