Rush Limbaugh is “The Passion”
Original | 1/26/04 | Chris Davis

Make no mistake. Rush Limbaugh is “The Passion.” He is the passion of conservatism, the very pulse, bounding through the veins of the nation. He produces life with every heartbeat of his show as he scoffs at liberals and gives us his interpretation of conservative truth. His brand of ideology shakes the very foundations of liberalism.

He follows in the footsteps of giants, such as George Washington, Thomas Paine, and Ronald Reagan, promoting the ideals of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. He broadcasts affectionately trying to steer growing government towards the ideals of the Constitution.

He believes that Americans with limited government are better Americans. He believes that Americans shouldn’t murder babies in the womb. He believes that tax cuts are good for the economy. And finally, he believes safe Americans living free are the best Americans of all.

Boldly he pronounces the lies of liberalism and asserting daily doses of truth. With resounding conviction, he echoes the sentiments of the Founding Fathers, evoking the wrath of those who oppose him. “The Passion.” His passion forces him to carry the torch of liberty and justice, inflicting backlash, lies, and corruption at his doorstep. The compassionate liberals, those that believe in fair play and equal justice, will do almost anything to berate him.

Mildly he sits and passes on his message, his passion, his views, his legacy. A legacy of truth, justice, and the conservative American way. He hands his gift down day after day, show after show. He will live as one of the greatest men in conservative history correct 98.4% of the time. There are few men in history that has received the same award as President Ronald Reagan. There are fewer men that could go on day after day under the scrutiny he faces. And there are only a handful of men that could keep themselves reserved while suffering the onslaught of the visceral hatred of “compassionate liberals.”

Quite frankly, I don’t know how he does it. How does he stand so strong against so much? How does he execute his duties so faithfully with the onslaught of these lies? How does he continue to go on the air? Especially when the people that presume to blackmail him walk free! “The Passion.” That’s how.

As I listened to his show today, January 27, 2004, I could hear “The Passion.” Liberal after liberal tried to infiltrate the show and discredit the man behind the “Golden EIB Microphone.” He was fiery. He was excellent. He’d had enough. They failed to extinguish him.

Last night, his attorney, Roy Black, was filled with “The Passion.” Filled so full that it seemed as if Rush himself were sitting there screaming the answers, “I DID NOT DO THIS!”

I was enthralled. I was overjoyed. I felt giddy, like a kid in a candy store. I knew for the first time in months as if justice had taken a direct blow to the lies and corruption creeping into Rush Limbaugh’s life. Never had I wavered. Never had I been so steadfast in my disbelief of the news media. I never believed the allegations. Not once. Not until Rush himself admitted it.

I was disappointed when I heard Rush was addicted to prescription painkillers. Why, you ask? Because I had placed him on so high a pedestal, considering him the greatest man in the world. You know what? I still do. Despite all the claims, I still consider him the greatest conservative I’ll ever know.

I know you’re saying I’m crazy. I know you’re telling me to check myself into therapy, but it’s true. I can’t help it. I can’t help but applaud a man with this many medical conditions going on day after day after day after day, executing liberal lies with impunity. I have too much respect and admiration for the man that put his own show ahead of pain, pushing himself into addiction and blackmail. Too much admiration for the man that removed the disease, the man that removed liberalism.

Liberalism was planted deep within me, as if it were a parasite feeding on me. Rush cut it out like a surgeon excising a cancerous tumor, giving me the opportunity to experience life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. He gave me the chance of a lifetime. The “lone beacon of opposition” handed me a certainty, a guarantee no person had ever given me before. No, he didn’t come to Texas and brainwash me. He presented his case like he does every single day-clearly, concisely and effectively, planting the seed of common sense in my brain. By sowing that seed, he also gave me hope, happiness, and “The Passion.”

“The Passion” to live life, to succeed again and again, and to not feel guilty about creating wealth. He handed me an education in advanced conservative studies and said, “Go forth and produce young man. Give life everything you’ve got.” And I do. I thank him from the bottom of my heart. I owe at a minimum my undying support and loyalty.

Everyday Rush withstands the assaults, he strengthens my resolve to praise him more and more. The more the liberals bash Rush the more I salute him. The more they harangue him the more I respect him. They cannot or will they ever break my obstinate resolve. Instead, they have only succeeded in convincing me how corrupt, phony, and merciless they really are.

With Rush on the radio, I continue to conquer day after day, living in conservative principles, consumed with the fiery notion of my new life. I rebuke liberalism with special thanks to my educator. I love the life I have earned, as I pursue success after success, and eagerly wait another broadcast day of “The Passion.”

Hey, it's your loss. We will continue to listen and admire him for all he has done for conservatism. What have you done to help the cause?

Seems that many have succumbed to the clintoon practice of examining a single low point or black mark in a great man's life and declaring that all he did is now tainted and worthless.

If you can't live up to the greatness of others, trash everything about them.

If it weren't for Rush and Free Republic, I would be ready to concede defeat. I have a great fear of our society going the way of Western Europe.

I still have hope we can withstand the socialists.

Your compliments are really appreciated. When I posted, I just thought it would be read with interest. For those that don't know, it took me about six hours to write that.

I kept going back to it and telling myself it wasn't good enough yet. So, I'd rewrite again and again. Finally, I settled on what I had and posted. By the time I posted, it was so late that the East Coast was off the computer. I got two posts and thought it was a sheer disaster. I couldn't believe what Rush said. I wanted to talk more, but we were up against the end of the show so I had to just be quiet.

Major dittos Chris.

I'm encouraged to see that Rush sees the good talent of Free Republic even though there are a few bad apples here that deserted him in his time of need.

Give em hell Rush.

RE #140: That was a very classy reply to what's getting to be extremely tiresome and suspicious flame bait regarding Mr. Limbaugh. Thank you for posting your article for all of us to enjoy, and congratulations to you on what will no doubt be a day you'll long remember.

I believe your article is representative of the affection and respect most FReepers have for Mr. Limbaugh. It well merited having a link to this thread posted on Rush's website. How sad that such a small coterie of malcontents caused the link to be removed when it it could've brought many new, like-minded conservatives to Free Republic. As you said, when I first found this wonderful Free Republic it was like coming into the light at the end of a dark tunnel. Too bad hundreds, possibly thousands, will be deprived of that experience, all because of so very few.

It really makes me question the motives of some here on FR who seem to be our worst enemies. Matt Drudge used to have a link to FR on his website, too. I've never heard the complete story about why he removed it, but I suspect it might be similar to the bashing we've seen happening to Rush on Free Republic. I don't get it.

I hope you'll keep sharing your original commentaries with us. You're an excellent writer and an asset to this forum.

Rush has done more to alert us to the strength of conservatism than anyone I can remember. He needs our support.

Hannity drives a huge SUV. A Cadillac I think.
Are you sure you want to turn to Hannity for moral compassing?
;-)

We value ideas. Rush presents the Conservative ideas the best.

clinton is an absolute disgrace.
Rush is a man with a problem and my guess is...the problem is fixed.
Now...if Rush cheated while playing golf.....that would be an absolute disgrace!

Rush has taught me so much. I knew nothing about politics until I started listening to him. He is a master teacher as well as an entertaining broadcaster. He has done a great deal for the America he loves. God bless you, Rush.

I'm not able to catch Rush every day, but yesterday I did. He went into the tabloid claims of drug trafficking, his maid's providing pills, etc. and a lot more. He said the maid had come to him and said she and her husband would go to the tabloids and say he was dealing drugs unless he paid them $4 mill. He talked this over with some advisers, didn't say who, and they said, Oh, my God, pay what they want. If the tabloids print this stuff, your life is kaput. So he paid the maid for a while, then decided what the hell, I'm not doing this. The maid and her husband went to the tabloids, got a big payday, and also lied to the cops about Rush and his addiction. Plus they got immunity from prosecution! The D.A. in that county was eager to get Rush on something, anything. The tabloids ran with the lies, and he's been battling ever since. Rush detailed more about the person in the prosecutor's office, or D.A.'s office who'd leaked lies to the press. Even the so called plea bargain letters are not what they appear to be. The D.A. called Rush's lawyer and said his office was innundated with emails from county dem. residents who wanted Rush nailed. The D.A. asked how Rush would feel about maybe a plea bargain. Rush's lawyer responded with a letter saying What are you offering? Then the D.A. said, only if you plead guilty to a felony and released Rush's lawyer's letter claiming Rush was angling for a deal. His website, Rushlimbaugh.com, has probably detailed all this and more. His explanation makes sense. He's being crucified in public. Private medical records being released to the D.A. illegally, and if it can happen to him, it can happen to you and me. Forget any gripes you may have with Rush, in this country, we're supposed to be presumed innocent until proven guilty, and Rush hasn't even been charged with a crime. As to pain addiction, most people don't take pain killers because they want to get high and ruin their lives. They want surcease from unrelenting, horrible pain. Listen to what he has to say and then make up your minds. I suspect that in the end, he'll sue Palm Beach county for big bucks and never be charged with a crime. Sorry for the length, but didn't see this mentioned anywhere and thought it was important.

I've turned to Hannity, Michael Medved, and Drudge for moral compassing.

Those three are men, too - expect the same.

You don't need men for moral compassing.

You need their Creator.

laweeks;

As someone who worked in the medical field for 25 years, I can tell you that you are extremely narrow minded and lack the ability to feel compassion regarding Rush (or perhaps you've always hated him?).

I worked in an area of medicine that dealt with the kind of medical condition and pain that Mr. Limbaugh has and *is* dealing with. I was the back office nurse who warned our patients that if they ran out of their pain meds because they took more of them than prescribed, they would be out. And guess what? They often did, because the pain was that bad!

So until you walk a mile in his shoes, perhaps you should "try" to imagine wanting a *normal day, a painfree day*. It isn't like he was out there just getting HIGH for fun! (And I would wish EVERY addict GREAT success in their recovery despite how they became one. God Bless them all!! My point is, when a person becomes an addict to escape PAIN, I feel it is under a different set of circumstances, and merits a different response than those who did it because they were simply wanting to have FUN!)

He was prescribed a HIGHLY addictive drug. Oxycontin only recently was found to be EXTREMELY addictive. The phyicians prescribing it would most likely never have prescribed it knowing then what they do now!

It wasn't long after working for the Physiatrists group, that I myself broke my back. When I had my accident, the first thing I thought about was all the back patients and the horrific pain they had, and how they couldn't be helped very well.

Thankfully, I have never had their problems. PRAISE GOD!!

But I can assure you.. you do NOT want to ever experience what they go through. Be thankful.. be very thankful.

But also, say a few prayers. Because it has been my experience in life, that those who are so judgemental have a way of finding out first hand what those who they judge so harshly, have gone through. Some call it karma. Perhaps it explains the old saying "What goes around comes around". But I think there is a lot of merit to it.

Hate and bitterness, and a lack of goodwill towards others truly is unhealthy.

God Bless Rush, and any others who suffer like he does.

What is your problem with Levin and/or Rush, CGB? You're obviously trying to get a response. Why?

I have no problem with Rush. And I am not 'trying to get a response'. I am stating my opinion. My problem with those that claim to be his 'friends'. What they are doing is quite a disservice to him by attacking the prosecutor. Not that the prosecutor doesn't deserve to be questioned about selective prosecution, but these idiots are inflaming things and are going to end up getting Rush absolutely no mercy from this guy. Does that make sense?

And I abhor the fact that some of his friends prance around here trying to make the prosecutor the scapegoat for responding to one organizations idiotic and foolish request for documents. That request opened this whole can of worms and exposed Rush's private matters for all to see. For that Mr Levin need to be held accountable.
