In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

I DO NOT want a snow day tomorrow......I need some serious quiet time for ME.
It's still raining and the temperature is 36 and it doesn't look like it is going to drop any, so there should be no problems in the morning.....I hope, I hope, I pray, I pray...

Heck, I live in Virginia, but had to pass through 2 states, one of them twice, and DC to get to the conference that was held in Virginia.
6 hours to get there and 7.5 to get home, primarily because of the ungodly traffic in Delaware.

I'm sorry you had such a crappy trip home. :(
My train to NYC left late because they couldn't close one of the doors. And I was definitely *not* amused by how scummy Union Station is. I haven't seen so many aggressive, persistent panhandlers since I don't know when! I mean, it reminded me of when Dinkins was mayor of NYC! And there were no police or official people around.

I don't have the link for it, but I have the pic on my hard drive - remind me tomorrow to upload it. I'm too tired tonight.
I'm about ready to commit caninicide.........these %^$&^$&% dogs are going to drive me up the wall. They demanded out again, for the 3rd time in the past 40 minutes.

You can email it to me, if you want. It just cracks me up!
Why do the canines insist on going out so often? I can only imagine how it must be for the pets in my building -- they're in apartments all day!
My neighbor's labs go nuts over me. The dog walker told me that the Happy Boys always pause in front of my door and look around if they don't see me when he takes them out for their walks!

I didn't have a booth, and also, there is no 'Mrs. EV'.
;-)
I think you have me confused with someone else. :-)

Why do the canines insist on going out so often? Luckily for me they are both so well house broken that if someone is up they will insist on going out. If the old girl needs to go out, there is no not letting the pup out also. But the pup discovered snow only last night and remains fasciniated with it ........... therefore lots of letting everyone out!!!

It was busy -- a fun and exciting kinda busy, but now I need some rest. I have been up since two am with a call. Just finished shoveling us out to await the foot which they said was coming tonight. I did enjoy having my bed made each morning and someone serving me meals........
