Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Dan, you're adorable - I've seen pics of you before...... you have nothing to worry about.......
XS, you MUST be expecting a snow day tomorrow...this is way later than you usually can stay up..... considering your "before the butt crack of dawn" risings.........

all 3 schools considerately cancelled from now. ye-aaghhhhh! to quote Howard Dean... : )
my house is big enough that i don't see them til meal time and my kids are old enough to entertain themselves, such that a snowday is not painful to me. i was hankering to be snowed in and i got my wish.

LOL. Funny seeing that tagline. I was going about 65 in a 55 zone on the PA turnpike with people buzzing past me in the mtns on a curve.(Near Somerset I think).
Some poor, but somewhat lucky sap spun out in the left land from blowing snow residue and hits the wall. Luckily he was alright and no one close by hit him as well.

Oh my God! Someone was only going 65 on the turnpike? Is that even allowed?
Glad you weren't involved in his/her accident...... How many hours was your drive home?

Someone was only going 65 on the turnpike? Is that even allowed? LOL. That was 10 over. I still have Sammy Hagar's motto of "I can't drive 55".
It was about an 8.5-9 hour drive for me.

You wouldn't believe the train ride back! Four hours late into Charleston, none of the toilets worked, no club car.
Other than smoking to much, drinking to much, eating to much and enjoying every single person that I met, or renewed friendships with - yep, I survived!
I wish that I had more time to spend with each and every person, especially those from two years ago.

It's closer for me to get to DC than to Copper Harbor, MI(12 hour drive from what I've heard).

It's not that big overall(except for some of our lakes), but the Lower Penninsula is long North/South, and the UP is long East West.
It would be like a Pensacola to Miami type of Drive.

I see...... of course most of that 10 hour drive for my daughter will be farm and ranch land....not high traffic areas....so that will be good..........

On another interesting note regarding distances, if you set out to drive from Houston to Los Angeles (don't ask me why you would want to), by the time you reach El Paso (you're still in Texas) you will be MORE THAN HALFWAY to LA.
