Well going long on the first down of the posession wasn't Favre's call. That was Sherman's and that wasn't the first time they done it, they got the first points of the game going long on the first play of the possession. Unfortunately the Eagle secondary had learned their lesson. If they hadn't suspected Sherman would try to end the game on the first play
(not necessarily a bad idea) Favre's throw is just a grossly overthrown waste of a down (what was that about 12 yards past the receiver). Unfortunately both the left side safety and corner had their thinking caps on and Favre didn't look down field. Such things are sport made of though, that's why we watch the game.

Actually, the one who makes the calls on offense is Tom Rossley. It was his head that a lot of people have been calling for not just this year but last year as well.
