Favre didn't even glance down the field. It was the single worst play of his entire career. The Eagles capitalized on it and good for them but don't gret crazy and think that play had anything to do with the Eagles, Favre blew it.

I have seen you hijack threads repeatedly with this kind of acrimonious reply. I don't understand it. Somehow seems wrong to me.

Some teams seem to win games that they should have lost. Some teams seem to lose games they should have won. The Eagles have done well and have managed to win. I like the coach and I wish them well because I think there are class players on the team, as well. But, in my very subjective point of view, there are better teams in the NFC spectating this year... and there are better teams remaining in the AFC. But, who knows....they still gotta play the games, don't they?

Anyway, Favre has a tendency to heave up ducks all the time especially at the worst time. Yes, he is a great QB and rightfully deserves to have serious consideration for the Hall of Fame. That doesn't change the fact that he heaves up ducks at the worst time. Didn't he throw something like 6 picks against the Falcons in the playoffs last year or the year before and kill GB's further playoff hopes? He also wasn't that great when the Broncos beat GB a few years ago in the SB.

Yes, wins do count. Which is why the Eagles are playing again this weekend. You have an incredible grasp of the obvious. What we were assessing was the quality of the Eagle's performance in achieving last week's win.

You are not overstating - it was horrific. It would have only been a fairly sane throw had it been 4th and long with 10 seconds left and the team down a touchdown. To come on a first down in decent field position with a great running game going and a field goal to win it makes it a blunder of Bucknerian proportion.

No, he's a pretty good QB when his heart isn't in the game, it avoid stupid mistakes but it costs great plays. He's a GREAT QB he just is crazy and will do dumb thing, when forced to not do dumb things his heart isn't in the game that cuts down on the mistakes but also cuts down on the brilliance. There aren't many in the world that can still manage to be pretty good when their heart isn't in the game.

Fans of many sports have seen the Favre type of player, they've learned to suffer the lows because there are more highs. I liken him to recently retired brilliant goaltender Patrick Roy, Roy loved to handle the puck behind the net but he was horrible at it, no good ever came from Roy being behind the net, but when the coaches wouldn't let him go behind the net Roy always got out of his game.

The same Brett Favre that threw that awful duck in OT is the one that threw the 40 yard gainer into double coverage that led to their game leading FG. A Brett Favre that wouldn't have thrown that duck also wouldn't have thrown the other pass and probably GB doesn't even get to OT losing instead in regulation. The Favre that throws bad INTs is also the one that throws great blocks on reverses. The Favre that sometimes doesn't seem to see the other team on the field is the Favre that can scramble from the pocket and sidearm the ball 20 yards. He's a great QB who's able to over come his mistakes more often than not.

A real hogie with capicolla, provolone, and salami which was hanging from the ceiling, nestled in a nice Amorosso roll is my version of heaven. Unfortunately they can only be found in Philly and only at my two most favorite places.....Rich's Deli in Fort Washington and at Pete's deli in Conshohocken.

Let's not forget to chase that with a cheap cup of coffee from WAWA!
