I went through the same thing in 1997. My OB/GYN did a sonogram on me and said that I either had ovarian cancer on my left ovary or what they call a 'chocolate tumor', which looks the same as ovarian cancer on the sonogram. He said he wouldn't be able to tell for sure until my surgery. I had to wait a week for the surgery (had to get personal things in order first). I was so scared and left it in God's Hands. When I woke up from the surgery, they then told me that it was, in fact, a 'chocolate tumor'. I had to have a total hysterectomy due to that and also uterine fibroid tumors. You'll be in my prayers. God bless you. Please keep us updated.

When I was in HS my mother had uterine fibroid tumors and had to undergo a full hysterectomy. We'll be praying for you...

Lord God,
We know You as Creator, as Provider, as Healer, as Redeemer and Savior.
We ask that You would heal this woman. Make her whole and well, please. We ask that You would surround her with Your Presence and Your Virtue. Shower her in Your love, and restore her to health.
In the Name of Jesus we pray.
Amen.

I lost both my ovaries to benign cysts. There is NO WAY a doctor can know what the mass is until he/she goes in and removes it and then does pathology on it.
Not to say you won't be nervous.. I SURE WAS!!!! I think you'd have to be a ZOMBIE to NOT BE. (It doesn't mean we don't believe either.. but believing can sure take some of the edge off!!) :o)
Just saying that in all likelihood, yours will be benign too.
((((((giznort))))))
I truly do know what you are going through.
In fact, I was barely out of surgery when I popped up on my stretcher asking if everything was ok.
I'm not normally a worrier.. but you can't help it when you face this kind of situation.
Knowing what I know today,.. I'd have given more of the worry over to prayer and let our heavenly Father do what He has said He can and will do for us.
It is therefore my PRAYER that you will find the strength to do just that. I lacked the faith and the strength back then.
God Bless you FRiend,..and PLEASE keep us posted.

Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks for the family of believers gathered around giznort. We pray that You would touch her mightily with Your healing hand ... that surgery would go well and that the mass is benign. You have told us to be anxious for nothing, but that is so very hard to do, Creator God, so with a conscious decision, we give this situation to You. Remind us that when we are tempted to take this worry and fear up again, we are to again give it to You. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
We praise You, O Lord, for standing with giznort in the midst of this trial. In the Name of Jesus, Amen ...

Prayers are with you for strength and understanding. I am a 17 and half years survivor of of level 2c ovarian cancer. I know how scary it all can be but be assured that you are in God's hand and to always lean on Him not on your own understanding.

Prayers for you, giznort, and encouragement too. Several years ago, my obgyn discovered that one ovary was many times its normal size. Ultrasound test indicated bad news. Surgery was scheduled for three weeks later. I prayed so hard during that time that huge amounts of heat were generated, and when the doc when in to remove my ovary, he picked it up, turned it over and over, found it to be totally normal, and put it back in. It's still just fine.
Refuse to have any sickness or disease, and pray like crazy. We're here adding our prayers to yours!
God bless,
PW

I've gone through what you are going through. I was told at the time that ovarian cysts are very common. Mine was benign, but of course painful and scary. May God grant you peace in your spirit, mercy in your diagnosis, and wisdom in your physicians. Amen.
To: giznort
Fear of the unknown is understandable, and especially in light of the possibility that you were told you face. May the God of grace and comfort, Who knows all things, and is all powerful, merciful, and good, surround you with His providential care and see you safely through this ordeal.
Keeping you in prayer. God bless.
