From a liberal in my circle, I have rec'd a supposed copy of an emailed letter from a highly disgruntled US officer in the 82nd in Fadjullah. This soldier is supposedly a University of Texas law student. The letter may be authentic, but has some serious bogus aroma to it... I can post the letter, with the guy's name. I'm wondering if someone out in chat can lead me to find out if it is the genuine article, or a canned "urban legend" type of thing sent out over the internet. As it was sent by a liberal in a highly visible position, if it IS bogus....such info would be very valuable to me! If you know how I should begin, please let me know here or via email.
Basically I have a name and military info--but I suspect strongly that the letter I have been sent (by a rather well-placed liberal ) is an impersonation.
For any that don't know, their CPT, from Las Colinas TX was killed recently when the Islamofascists attached a bomb to a 5 YR OLD and detonated. This info from a letter to his mom.
Incidentally he just earned his "Blood Wings" which were attached by a 4 STAR GENERAL. Quite an honor and a privilege.
Thank God for these brave men and women and thank God we have the President we have.
That's why my "bs meter" went off, and now I am looking for a way to see if this letter is authentic.
If authentic, the soldier is certainly entitled to his opinion and should be thanked for his service.
If it is not authentic, it is being used as propoganda by a liberal of some influence in the state of Texas to undermine the 82nd in Iraq.
In which case, I would LOVE to have documentation. It would go some distance for me as a conservative among some liberals.
I have names and military ids for the writer of the letter. I just need to figure out how to find a CO or something...?
