Thank you so much for this post. I have passed it on to my girlfriend, the mom of an 82nd Bravo Company soldier.

For any that don't know, their CPT, from Las Colinas TX was killed recently when the Islamofascists attached a bomb to a 5 YR OLD and detonated. This info from a letter to his mom.

Incidentally he just earned his "Blood Wings" which were attached by a 4 STAR GENERAL. Quite an honor and a privilege.

Thank God for these brave men and women and thank God we have the President we have.

I appreciate what you're saying, but the letter I have is very negative about the soldiers serving in Iraq and the US in general. It does not sound like any soldier I have known--and spouts a lot of cliches you might expect to read in DU.

That's why my "bs meter" went off, and now I am looking for a way to see if this letter is authentic.

If authentic, the soldier is certainly entitled to his opinion and should be thanked for his service.

If it is not authentic, it is being used as propoganda by a liberal of some influence in the state of Texas to undermine the 82nd in Iraq.

In which case, I would LOVE to have documentation. It would go some distance for me as a conservative among some liberals.

I have names and military ids for the writer of the letter. I just need to figure out how to find a CO or something...?
