Last week the NFL delayed the start of the Broncos/Colts game because of the OT in Green Bay. (about 8 minutes delay).
Of course that was a dome game slated to start at 4:30, but they did delay.

I didn't think it delayed, I thought they just squeezed. Of course there's no way I'd switch channels away from an OT game. They shouldn't delay, even in a dome, too much risk of injury, too NBA.

That was a thriller:
NFL Overtime Rules (Playoffs):
3 Time Outs per half
Game is treated like a half.
If the game is tied after one overtime, the teams switch ends.
If the game is tied after two overtimes, the overtime is deemed to have "ended" and a fresh overtime is played, with the game starting as if the third quarter was starting (loser of the coin toss has right to call give or receive). Also each team would receive three time outs.
All reviews are called by the replay booth. No challenges permitted.

That's Don Cheadle. He's a very, very talented actor, total commie, and, yes, those commercials are very annoying.

It was an exciting game, but it sure wasn't a "great" one in my mind. Awful coaching decisions down the stretch in regulation by Martz, two missed field goals in OT, 18 penalties in all (13 by the Panthers) . . . in fact, this was a pretty poorly-played game all around.
I'm not surprised the Rams lost this game. I'm sure the Carolina coaching staff just sat down and watched endless tapes of St. Louis' season-opening loss to the Giants, who finished the season 4-12. Up until the last few minutes of regulation, it looked like the Panthers' game plan was remarkably similar to what the Giants had done in Week 1.

Hate to burst anyone's bubble, but this had to be the most sloppily NFL playoff game in history. I don't have room to list the examples.
For shame! An Instant Classic? Negative.
It was like watching soccer.

I'm a big Rams fan. Yeah, 'sloppy' is not far off-base.
But, man, it was one of the most exciting games I ever saw.
I'm not as disappointed as I thought I would be. This season's Rams had enough heart to somehow win games. But they weren't as superior as the 1999-00 and 2001-2 Rams.
The Rams will get better IF...
- Martz continues to mature (yes, he's getting better)
- Bulger continues to mature and doesn't get broken down like poor old Warner
- Someone else fills Faulk's shoes
- Oh, and if someone fills L. Smith's (defensive coach's) shoes. He'll probably leave. Very big hole in the team.
Lots of IFs, no doubt.
Go Packers,

Let me add one more thing to your list.
Upgrade the cornerback position. It was a mistake to let BOTH Dre' Bly and Dexter McCleon go. Should have resigned one of them.
I might also take a hard look at why teams can so effectively run up the middle on that defense. With the talent that is there, you would think that would be harder to do.
Congrats to the Panthers.

Rams mounted a valiant comeback.
I still can't get over Bulger's interceptions. They were just devastating.
