Yes, on a called personal foul.
I saw old footage a few years ago of Ken someone, the quarterback on the Bengals team, nearly had his head ripped off by some a-hole on the defense who grabbed his face mask and spun him around 3 times. The QB was out for weeks, but the a-hole was in for the next play.
