My poor husband ended up with the same flu as my son and I . He is in Detroit trying to climb two towers. Weather has not cooperated. I talked to him last night and he felt miserable. He is to come home tomorrow.

It's awful to be away from home when you're sick. Hope hubby gets home soon.......That alone will make him feel better. I'm happy to hear you and son are feeling better.

A lot of Mr. LBKQ's work is up here. Can't leave him alone too long......He'd miss me too much. ;>) Besides, grandbabies are here.

"Indy"

Dont' write that bet off yet, I myself have high hopes for Indy this year. However, I'm going against hubby, so I've got to keep my rooting to myself!

For sure he didn't serve in the National Guard.

He is a West Point Grad, comissioned in the regular army.

Thank you so very much for that article! Indeed, the Clinton administration did not want military-minded officers. It appears they saw the world as a single community with the U.S. military as political aides and policemen. Notably, only the marines (who were exempt from the political correctness) were able to keep up with their enlistment goals during the Clinton administration.

At this point, I'm pretty sure that I was thinking about someone else who I can't recall - however, unless my 1SG in AIT was just messing with us, one could, at least at some point, be both Active Duty, and a member of the National Guard. My 1SG claimed to hold a commission. This seems a ridiculous situation, so he might well have been messing with us, but that was what he said. This was before the big movement of divisions to NG and Reserve.
