#39...What I've noticed is Mansour seems to totally have the respect and attention of all....including Brit Hume.
They hang on to his words.
I always make a point to hear him, when he's on.

MM...the gang of 3 were so trivial and silly this AM....

..I mean, on the one hand, I'm thrilled we have no horrendous news to talke about today....

..but they also can't carry on meaningful conversation about anything else....

...just a bunch of silliness.

I have often wondered the same thing about Mansur Ijaz.

How is anyone at Fox going to contradict him? He always talks about his contacts, but who are they, really?

Maybe they are the same as Rita Cosby's "special sources." HA!

I'm not sure if I should tell you this, but I'm going to take my chances.

A Des Moines radio station has been hosting a "Gator Feed" this morning at a Capitol City Resturant,, as a pre game to the PreGame which will begin shortly. They airlifted Aligator in for serving to Hawkeye Fans.

That's true Guenevere about how they all pay attention to him.

But remember: it's to their benefit to do that. See? We - the audience - Fox's audience - notice that & all pay attention too.

Each side - Ijaz and fox News gains from Ijaz at least appearing credible.

I've wondered: should we keep track of his predictions and see if they come true? Has anyone done this? That's the only way it seems to me to verify what he says.

He's definitely a fascinating fellow, don't get me wrong.

From nervous dems eye progress:

Senior Republican campaign officials, in fact, cautiously downplay Mr. Bush's recent rise in the polls, noting the difference in a general-approval rating and specific re-election poll numbers. They expect the president's support to drop when the Democrats finally choose their nominee in Boston this summer.

That is just a CYA statement that you can prove wrong by the polls. The polling questions are like this. If the presdential election were held today would you vote for Bush or the Democatic nominee? The results of this poll say 48 percent for Bush and 47 percent for the Democrat.

But when the question is, If the Presidential election were held today and the candidates were Bush and Dean, whom would you vote for? This resuts in 54 percent for Bush and 40 percent for Dean. Hillary runs the best in this question... 52 for Bush to 42 for Hillary.

The problem with Bush against generic democrat, is that a centrist who would vote for Lieberman over Bush will be in the anti Bush column. But if the candidate is Dean that same voter will be in the Bush coluumn. The Generic Democrat question allows the person polled to pick their most desireable candidate.

Once the race becomes Bush against a real person, the Bush numbers will go up. In every case on record the specific numbers,(incubent against nominee) are always better for the incumbent than the generic numbers (incembent against opposite party).

Happy New Year to all who are here right now...& to those I didn't see on the thread last night & a good, sunny morning from NE Ohio (but it is chilly). Thanks for ping Molly & for the start of thread Dog. Guennie.. - I wish I were in your mild climate now..

I will possibly do a morning bike ride with club, I had originally thought I would not be here to participate & didn't sign up but will check out time. It will be a short one - rather like the polar dips. Just for saying you did it.not really for the activity.

I have see LOTR 3X.. not cold mtn yet - perhaps this week - . But did see Mona Lisa Smile.. which I enjoyed, despite Tomato's rating of 35. they also gave Luther a low rating & it was one of my favorite movies this year

I agree. He is fascinating, but like you, I am not sure of his accuracy.

I also remember that he was an X-42 backer.

He may have a lot of interesting information...or he may have figured out the perfect scam. I have no way of knowing, but I think I will start keeping track of what he says.

A VERY, VERY HAPPY NEW YEARS DAY TO ONE AND ALL FROM THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA!!!!

I hate it when all the TV programs have the 'Doom'N'Gloomers on Each day, ain't nothing going right in our nation, nothing at all. I am speaking of the Democrat's, I think Terry McAwful sends them the 'talking points' each day for their instructions for that day. Now, I suggest that if we are so bad off and need money in this nation that they propose a tax hike RIGHT NOW, they propose to bring the troops back RIGHT NOW, propose to revote the tax cut RIGHT NOW. Isn't it strange that they don't? They don't because they call it 'survival in the political world'.

Gd had a blast night night with the fireworks. When we went to the fireworks stand I think she would have bought a dozen of each and you know, I was about to go along with her until I came back to reality. Last year she did not like the noise but this year? All I can say is what a difference a year makes.

I am getting ready to go and start shopping for some trees today, probably will not buy any but going to go and see what all is out there. I change my selection of what I want each day. I do want some magnolia trees, a must here in the south and was my wife's love. Darn, I sure miss that lady.

D telling me that breakfast is ready, two eggs over a bowl of grits with toast. After that kind of breakfast tell me, how can a fella NOT have a good day.

Prayers for all to stay safe and free from illness. Please, pray for OUR President W and our troops. Without fail, keep the elderly in your prayers and believe me, one day you also will be one of us Sr. Citizens (some call us 'old coots') and you will then know what I am telling you about.
Have a good day. Toby
