Checkin in: Much to do before I feed another crowd tomorrow. BBL
To: Neets
Simple things like clearing a paper jam...those guys there act like I have completed a MIRACLE after clearing one of those.Hmmmm. The machine tells you which areas to look in... 1,2,3 etc... There are pull-out tabs labled 1,2,3 etc... Yep, it takes a genius to figure that stuff out.
Did you ever feel like asking in a quiet and professional very scary voice: "You guys can read? Right?"

It is a weird compliment.I guess I'm a weird guy.
I just don't remember Electric. 101, Plumbing 101, Dealing with Waitress Heartbreak over Boyfriend Problems 101, or Repro. Wildlife 101 from Culinary School. I didn't miss THAT many days.

Ah, John, you didn't work with me. I had to answer questions on Pregnancy 101, Introductory Finance, Boyfriend Problems for the New Dater, Courtesy to Customers, etc. etc.
When one works with a lot of people younger than oneself, you are the default counselor. Which means YOU are the person who has to handle the rodent problems!!! HA!
To: Miss Marple; JRandomFreeper
While rodent reproduction; rodent pole vaulting (HA); and boyfriends are good topics in which to be considered an expert. A couple of years ago I had a woman on my support staff who was in the middle of a divorce. She was asking for 10 Million in settlement. I listened to her for 2 years before I threw my hands in the air and screamed, "Enough Already".
It's the other side of the spectrum, I know. But, beleive me, twenty somethings aren't the only daft ones in the workforce.
I heard recently, she settled for 7 Mil. It will probably take half of it for counseling for her to get her priorities straightened out. I'll take the youngsters and silly questions/problems any day.

Pregnancy 101, Introductory Finance, Boyfriend Problems for the New Dater, I've worked most of those issues, I think. Sheesh.
I don't mind working with kids, but I really need the serious work time with a professional chef, without dealing with rats, squirrels, or boyfriends. I'll deal with those issues later in my career, please.
And I do seem to have a knack with dealing with them... Offering to break the former boyfriend's legs often results in an expression of affection for the previously-former boyfriend that was earlier missing... If that makes sense...I've re-united more almost couples than Krisken...

Nobody listens to cooks. Except that everyone listens to cooks. Either we have no clue, or we are the wise men of the universe. I'm begining to opt for the no-clue crowd.

Speaking of dads, how's yours????His mastoid bone is exposed to the elements. It hurts him a lot. The cancer is back in full force.
I'll be over there in the next few days, to help out. This is tough.
I'm going to call it a night. God bless us all. Each, and every one.

How was your trip with your family? Utah has been clobbered with snow the past couple of days. Here is one picture, looks just like where I live...
To: Utah Girl
How do y'all get the sand to look so WHITE? Ours is either black or kinda of a tan.

Wow - a properly exposed snow picture!! Most cameras mess up on snow.
To: Utah Girl; All
Good Morning! I've seen snow like that. Thankfully, not this year. 48 degrees at 5:00 am here this morning. It rained last night.
I've just taken the turkey out of the oven and put the sweet potatoes in to pre bake them.
I'm waiting for the coffee to perk. I'll come back when I'm coherent.

Prayers lifted for your Dad and family, john.
Welcome Back MozartLover....now I'm about to leave for a few days...
Good morning everyone!
prairie, you've got a plan concerning travel.. Now if something had happened and our son couldn't fly out yesterday, he would have just stayed put here, and we'd have made the best of that.:-)
As it was, the CLE-Hopkins airport was busy, but we were able to drop him off at the usual departure spot. Before cars got to that area, however, security was randomly stopping cars to do spot checks.
