(VANITY) Christmas dinner at the CPA Palace in Baghdad

I took a few snaps at dinner this evening. This is nothing in depth or special.

I can't say enough about how hard the Pakistani KBR employees work to keep our dining facility clean and well organized. They do their best to prepare the food they have as nicely as possible. The food just sucks sometimes but it seems avoidable when they don't have decent stuff to work with at times. It certainly beats going hungry or eating MREs all the time. Some folks here don't treat them very nicely. It seems to be directly proportional to how self-important they are. I'll leave it at that until another vanity post.

Whoever the pastry chef is, he's not getting enough money. The cinnamon sweet rolls and other pastries are great considering the stuff they have to make them out of. If this guy could ever get some decent confectioner's sugar I'd gain back the 25 lbs I've lost here! The pies were pre-made but tasty anyway.

We had prime rib, baked ham, stuffing, corn on the cob, mashed taters, gravy, cranberry sauce and some of the usual side dishes like macaroni salad and potato salad. The sides are usually pretty good. There were a couple of other things on the main line but I don't recall what they were.
