Oh my sides! The French fight against terrorism includes warning the bad guys we're on to them? From townhall.com, "Has France Shot Itself in the Foot?" by opposing the U.S. in Iraq.
Merry Christmas to all, and safe travels to everyone visiting family (we'll be heading to my sister's in a few hours).
A glorious Christmas was had by all the family. Laney was a very happy little girl because Santa brought her Thomas the Train and track, then her uncle gave her James the Engine! She was so excited she nearly hugged the life out of her uncle.
Now on to the news...
What's this business about Dean is now going to bring religion into his campaign? Pathetic.
PETER DUFFY, a Manhattan furrier, who called himself the only Irishman in the fur business; he told us he had just finished a mink coat for HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON. Link
What will her environmentalist feminist friends say?!

JESUS TO JOIN DEAN ON CAMPAIGN TRAIL Dean - who described Jesus as an important influence in his life - said he would step up his religious rhetoric when he campaigns in South Carolina next week..... Dean's mother is Catholic, but he was raised an Episcopalian, like his father. Dean's wife and two children are Jewish.
.... Legally married or not, the couple seems to be falling into traditional husband and wife roles. Etheridge refers to Michaels as "my wife," and Michaels, who designed their wedding bouquets of hydrangeas and roses, says things like, "It is part of my life to make sure Melissa has what she needs . . . whatever she needs."
But the marriage has meant a multiplication of mommies for Bailey, 6, and Beckett, 5 - who spend alternate weeks with their biological mother, Julie Cypher, who was Etheridge's girlfriend for 12 years. Asked what the kids call Michaels, Etheridge says: "Well, she's Tammy - sometimes Mommy." Michaels: " 'Cause they have a Mommo and a Mama." Etheridge: "I'm Mama, or Mom. 'Mom' pretty much covers anybody and everybody." [Am I the only one here who wants to rescue these children?] The couple plans to "bring a child into the world together." No word on whether David Crosby would again provide DNA.
Michaels, an actress now playing a lesbian on the cable series "The L Word," is also an author of children's books. Etheridge is more interested in politics, and had to interrupt the interview to conduct a phone press conference supporting Howard Dean. [Quelle surprise!] (PageSix)
Hmmm:
Sacramento insiders say First Lady Maria Shriver is establishing herself as the power behind the throne in Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's mansion. "She's pretty hard-core," says our source. "She drives her staff like draft horses. Her style is much more in the Hillary Clinton mold than Laura Bush." full story
Well this will make five fur coats for Ms. Rodham Clinton, won't it since Denise gave her four about 3 years ago, lol.
Jackson is charged in California with seven criminal counts of child molestation and faces more than 20 years in jail if convicted.
The 45-year-old singer told CBS that he saw nothing wrong with spending the night with children but denied there was anything sexual about the sleepovers. He said pedophiles, murderers or a "Jack the Ripper" should not be allowed to do that. Jackson said he is not that type of person. rest of story
Paving the way for Bill's book. Historically, memoirs by first ladies outsell memoirs by their husbands. President Clinton (news - web sites)'s as-yet-untitled book is tentatively scheduled to be published in late May. That's about a month after the paperback edition of Living History, with a first printing of 500,000 copies, is released. (She's writing a new foreword that will describe her book tour.) Attorney Bob Barnett, who represents both Clintons, downplays any competition between them, saying, "Each book stands on its own." No word yet on a joint book tour.
Lord help us...a joint book tour, no chance. They could never spend that much time together.
