Friends
A little Springer Spaniel,
Who follows him around.
Speaks volumes of his nature,
No better judge is found.
When dogs like you, youre someone,
Not just an empty suit.
The love you give a faithful dog,
Will always bear you fruit.
If you like dogs that says a lot,
About the soul you bear.
But when the loves a two way street,
The partnership is fair.
The bond is strong and touching,
Between this man and friend.
God Bless George Bush and Spotty,
To them this poem I send.

I have one cat and four dogs. The cat Kitty was born under my neighbor's house about 12 years ago, or so. After she was weaned, she came to my porch, adopted me, and has been my cat ever since. She's sweet and friendly, comes when I call, and is nosy. If I'm standing out front speaking to someone, she comes around to see what's up. But she never lets any other human being but me touch her (except when she goes to the vet and has no choice). I don't know what that says about my character, but Kitty sure knew a soft touch when she spotted one all those years ago.

Sorry for the double post. Seeing Hillary gave me an itchy finger. (Actually, it was an accident. I didn't realize we had gone over 100 posts.)

Cat's are good judges of character but they don't share the information like dogs do. With cats, you have to purchase the information. But they do give bonuses.

Kitty is a sweetheart. She likes to sun herself on the hood of my car. She likes to come in when she pleases and go out when she demands. She has free run of the house, but refuses to come into my bedroom when the dogs are in not that she has anything to fear from them. She's had my two now-old German Wirehaired Pointers buffaloed for many years. Dog #3 is a tiny, black mixed Terrier (probably Cairn and mini-Dachshund) who is shorter than she is. And dog #4 is a very sweet (to me) Pit Bull named Susie, who sleeps in a wire dog crate next to my bed, so isn't loose at night. But, as cats will, Kitty prefers not to associate with those whom she considers beneath her station in life, i.e., canines and all humans but me. (Just to show her appreciation for me, she occasionally leaves me the gift of a dead mouse or bird.)

He has written more poems than this one. He does nice work. I think he would be an asset to the Poetry Thread.
