Canned Spam Found at Saddam's Hidey Hole?
Neal Boortz | 12-15-03 | Veritas_est

Posted on 12/15/2003 12:58:06 PM PST by Veritas_est

On his radio broadcast today, Monday Dec. 15, 2003, Neal Boortz reported seeing a CNN video that showed cans of spam at Saddam's hideout. Now it would not be unlike Neal to be pulling the collective legs of his audience, and I didn't get to hear the entire program, but I took him seriously.

If true I think that would be BIG news. I am not good at research, but I found nothing of consequence in my limited attempts to verify the story.

Has anyone heard or seen ANYTHING either verifying or refuting this report.

Did anyone else hear him say this on his show today?

That could be Spam in the bottom of the cabinet.

Ironically, it wouldn't surprise me if the spammers found Sadaam before our troops!

You're on to something...maybe he was hiding with that Nigerian General that keeps sending me e-mail saying he has $750,000 USD that he needs to get out of the country...hmmm

We should be focusing on this! Saddam found to be a pig eater! The great incarnate of Saladin is a filthy grubby infidel! LOL

My point precisely. However, from the sites reported here so far there is no conclusive evidence of pork or even that the food found belonged to Saddam.

The communist British reporter who went down the'hole' today over there in Iraq, and who also rifled through the safehouse villa, told Amy Goodman on the air today that there were "tins" of tuna everywhere. He even named the brand of the "tins"...said they were from Jamaica. I was laughing uncontrollably.

Been a long time since a Marxist made me laugh like THAT!

I doubt it was Hormel Spam simply because it must have been tougher (and less rewarding) to smuggle pork into Iraq than to smuggle heroin. But, since the real Hormel Spam would not have been found inside Iraq, a label with similar colors and superficial features might have been used by a different manufacturer (possibly based in Iraq) for an entirely different kind of foodstuff (presumably halal).

"Specially Processed American Meat". G*d only knows what's in those cans but it sure isn't halal or kosher.

VermonterThat could be Spam in the bottom of the cabinet.

That first picture posted by Diogenesis sure looks like it has a can of spam on the bottom shelf of the cabinet, (refridgerator?)

No wonder he gave up without a fight

No kidding. Only SPAM would be less tasteful than MRE's.

Nobody cares abbout that. What people really want to know about what was found there is about the underwear. Is it breifs or boxer?

The can is the right size and shape, but the colors are all wrong. Maybe it's a special Saddam edition packaged just for him ;-}

I noticed in one report that there were "white mens t-shirts". I guess for white men.

:^)

Well I didn't hear anything about pythons, but there was a report of a pair of "black moccasins". Are they any kin to "water moccasins"?

LOL
I stand corrected, always heard it was "Pork shoulder and ham"

As for whats in it there are some things you dont want to know about. Like the very low density of stray cats and dogs near the Hormel factory...
