I have some explaining to do people. There was no kitty thread last week. I was sick with the flu most of last week so decided to give the kitty thread the week off. Sorry about the mix-up last week.
The big news over the weekend was obvious. Saddam Hussein has been captured. Time to rejoice and celebrate for the moment. While there are other facets of the war on terror yet to complete (location of WMD and OBL among them) the capture of Saddam represents a big milestone victory for the coalition of the willing.
Regarding the interrogation of Saddam Hussein, our cats have a few ideas.
Mr. Spocks Vulcan Neck Grip Technique
Talk Saddam, or we put your manhood in a lock box
Remember Noriega? Well play Barry Manilow songs until you start talking
Finally, well make your wear funny outfits and put you on television

You know the cartoon that says, "On the internet no one know you're a dog"?
How do you think I know about the party in your office this weekend?

Im a little apprehensive about orange kitties, I really like them, think they are beautiful, but the last orange kitty I had thought the crib and my couch were great places to pee. Never had a cat do that and I have had them for almost 30 years.

I've had cats since before I was born (a long time ago) and I've never had the good fortune of living with an orange one.
Many people have told me they are the smartest cats and those I've visited seem to prove the point. So take it for what it's worth and get yourself an orange boy baby.
Usually when a cat pees in the wrong place there's something wrong with either the cat or the litter. It's not what kind of cat it is. Enjoy.

Ya I know its not what kind of cat it is. I think that one had mental problems, nothing wrong with the litter. He pooped in the box all the time, peed in in sometimes, rest of the time he peed in the crib and on my couch. He found a new home before my baby was born.

Okay, I just wanted to be sure he didn't change your mind about cats of the orange kind and I hope he found a home that was good to him and let him get back to his old self.

I had a black long hair who lived to about 14 years that used the litter box when it suited him. When he was getting older he decided that upstairs was the best place. He died this summer. We have a 14 year old Calico that has stopped using the litter box all together here at the office. She has Leukemia and should have been dead years ago. She is so skinny now I don't know how she keeps going.
I had another orange boy about 20 years ago that was just fine. This new little guy so far uses the box.

I just got an orange tabby kitten last month - the Colonel is some kind of special! Never had one bond with me so fast. He's fit in with the rest of the tribe with minimum fuss. Orange tabbys rule!

We have had Trouble for about 3 weeks now. He is a real squirmer when he is in the mood to play. But when he is tired, he just wants to snuggle. Last night he was licking my hair. Why? I don't have any idea.
Here he is on my shoulder waving to VOC...

Wow! Looks like the Colonel, except he has a little less white on his nose!

Congratulations to you and Colonel Orange. Try not to make me too jealous, okay? My four feisty female felines won't allow any more cats.

Last night he was licking my hair. Why? I don't have any idea. Danger! Do not try to figure out why a cat is doing something. It will make you crazy.
There's a cat here who prefers to greet you by smelling and licking your hair. The look on her face when she does this is something I prefer not to think about.

Thanks - my total is five. Two males, three females. After a week of disorder when the Colonel arrived, things settled down nicely. I was shocked!
