We have had Trouble for about 3 weeks now. He is a real squirmer when he is in the mood to play. But when he is tired, he just wants to snuggle. Last night he was licking my hair. Why? I don't have any idea.
Here he is on my shoulder waving to VOC...

Last night he was licking my hair. Why? I don't have any idea. Danger! Do not try to figure out why a cat is doing something. It will make you crazy.
There's a cat here who prefers to greet you by smelling and licking your hair. The look on her face when she does this is something I prefer not to think about.

Last night he was licking my hair. Why? I don't have any idea. My dearly departed P Bear used to sit on my pillow and groom my head. I think it was her way of showing me love and affection...or she was checking me for cooties... or both!

Last night he was licking my hair. Why? I don't have any idea.My male kitties grab a mouthful of hair and pull on it, while burying their paws in the rest of my hair. I think it's a way of showing me their love (they're fixed, but...) Maybe your boy is starting to, um, show his affection.
