The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
ecurbh

Posted on 12/11/2003 2:07:57 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Oh man...I wish Bear and Rose were coming to Entmoot! I was really looking forward to meeting them!

Too bad EVERYONE isn't coming, for that matter. Guess we'll have to do this again...somehow, somewhere!

I wonder how many of ya would show up!

Well, I would certainly like to. Not sure I could.

But I was thinkin' today. This absolutely cannot be the last and only time we get together. We outta commit to Mooting somewhere every couple of years or so.

I can bring Holy Grail. I've also got Fawlty Towers, Casablance, some Three Stooges, one MST3K.

I have Yankee Doodle Dandy, among other musicals and old movies. But I dunno how many other people are into 'em.

James Cagney...*sigh*

You notice how many times in this past thread one or other of us says about the same thing as someone else?

I'm thinkin' getting us all together in one location is gonna be a hoot, if a bit scary at the same time!

The Mouse is okay with me, it's the company (Disney) that has totally sicken me in a lot of ways.

Yea, as Overtaxed says..there be evil there...

ecurbh is playin' Maynard Ferguson...

WOOHOOO!!!! MAYNARD RULES!!!!!

Hey Ecurbh... got Birdland??? That's absotively my fave. That, and I'm thinkin' that Conquistador was just the best of the best of Maynard.

Did I ever tell you that he played at my high school?

I wasn't so lucky, but my best friend, Eric, got to PLAY with Maynard (he was a trumpet player, go figure) when Maynard played at good ol' Tumwater High. He was our soloist for all the Maynard stuff in Jazz band 'cuz he was the only one that could really hold a triple-high-C and could circular breathe.

He held his own on stage... talk about a dream come true...

The Mouse was bearable before Walt died. After that, he should be portrayed with horns.

I liked Donald Duck, the nephews, and Chip and Dale the best of the Disney characters. The rest of 'em were too sickly sweet.
