Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Hey - I was just gonna call you about the aeroporter van thing.... seems we should make reservations. Should I do that or did you?
They have vans leaving at 8:20 arriving at 9:00, and 9:20 arriving at 10:00.

Agreed..... we borrowed an air mattress from Sonya, that is the biggest thing, but we can fit clothes in a big suitcase and put the mattress, sleeping bag, and pillows in a big ole duffle bag we have.

I've fought to be called what I want to be called since I was twelve. When you go to a new place, and there is no one there who knows you from before, simply introduce yourself by the name you want to be called. How did you register for grad schools, with the 'real' name or the 'nickname'?
When we named the kids, we used names that we hoped would not be made into nicknames. That worked for Paul and Clare, though one of Paul's friends calls him Pauly; has since high school! David and Joseph didn't fare as well. Even teachers shorten them to Dave and Joe! Drives me NUTS, but the boys don't seem to mind. Oh well.

I have this phobia about missing flights, so I usually plan for 3 hours before my flight to get there. Is there a 7:20 arriving at 8:00??? Either way is probably fine, that or the 8:20 version.
I'm not a morning-ramius, as you know, but getting to airports way early is something I just like to do.
Usually is just leaves plenty of time for bloody marys, which is also a good thing.
To: SuziQ
I used my full name to apply. I've always used my full name to sign up for classes, and then just inform the professor of my preference. It works ok. Most of the time.

There's only an hour in Denver... the rest is the 3-hour time difference.
To: Ramius
Oh, that's not too bad.
When my family went to Hawaii, summer of 2000, we had a ten-hour layover in LA. We rented a van and went tooling around. Hehehe.... on the way home, we had a day and a half in San Francisco, which was much more fun.

Mostly she doodles at the corner of her math notes.LOL! When I sent in Clare's portfolio to the high school which is doing the credentials for diploma, several of the samples of Geometry work had little Anime doodlings on them.

I'd rather have a little extra time, than to have a tight connection. For some reason it's always when your flight has a tight connection is when you get delayed on the first leg. Every stinkin' time.
To: HairOfTheDog
We might just be able to make the 10:20. That'll work.
To: Ramius
Yeah, tight connection's no fun. Glad I have a straight shot both ways! It pays to book early.

Round trip is $22.... Made the reservation for the 7:05 departure... they want us there 10 min early. We grab any return, no set time for that.
