Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Wow, good for her! And you....
I mailed my first payment. Don't have to worry about the next until the end of the month. Just have to make sure there's money... grin, that there will be. I had to make a choice a while back between graduating in 2003 with debt, or in 2004 with money. Easy when you put it in those terms...
Drat, no shorts. Hmm. And it's time to pack up for bed. I'll post from second office tomorrow, after noon. See everyone then!

He brought me a ceramic cat from his Mexico trip. I have warned Jr. not to tell Luke that we're going to Disney World. Luke has been asking for months. He don't forget...
BTW: Welcome Home WN!

(Ruthy, what time to the beer goggles arrive?) Just remember, there will be at least two at Entmoot for whom the beer goggles have no effect...

Well, I put that fancy-smancy cream on and the cashmere socks my mom gave me...did a pretty good job of making them soft, but they are still deeply split open.
So I did another aveeno bath foot soak and then took my regular evening hot soak, and got my feet downright pruney-looking. Now I'm back in the cashmere socks with hydrocortisone cream rubbed into the sore spots.

Good lookin' brothers, Love the deer! Neat spot there by that pond!Yeah, that's my dad's youngest brother's place. At the end of a dead end road. I think he has 160 acres if I remember right. My dad built the tank for him over last winter just before they had that flood so it filled up in about 1/2 day when the rain started.
This is also the place where my dad and Myranda hunt. So, there is a lot of controversy about hunting now that John Deere is a pet there. John Deere is a buck. Myranda is looking at him longingly! :-)
Here is a photo with my dad sitting next to Dave and Uncle Brent who owns the place standing looking in the other direction. The house there is Brent and Lori's old house. They built a new rock house in the direction Dave, Daddy and I are facing.

Don't forget me during Entmoot...No way that could happen!!!
And uh, you didn't get to hear the exciting stories Myranda told about my dad and brother getting into a fight in the ski lodge in Colorado. Or my two brothers fighting (physically) over family stuff in front of everybody on the ski slopes.

Makes me feel not quite so silly toting warm water out to my girls first thing on freezing mornings! LOLEven the crustiest of farmers have to get water to the stock that is in a liquid form. Ice is no good to them. Horses get dehydrated more in the winter than summer because if it isn't frozen, it is too cold to drink enough of.

Or she could just work 4 10-hour shifts. I was thinkin the same thing. That's what we used to do when I was active duty, though it was 10:00pm to 8:00am, usually. Makes for great weekends! (The guys on the other shifts were jealous. They had to work 6on/3off, 8-hour shifts that rotated between days and nights.)

To: HairOfTheDog
Of course not! laughing breaks the First Rule of People-watching. You really would have liked it at the hospital on Friday! I mean - REALLY liked it! Other people were watching really intently too.

I saw what you posted about Myranda being taken aback...Yeah. Apparantly there were punches thrown on 2 occasions. And lots of harsh words and threats. She now says she feels really sorry for one set of cousins cause she didn't know how things really were in their family. And she's had her eyes opened quite a bit about my mom and dad.

I'm still learning what is needed for a beast that lives out of doors...Terra, my old greyhound was of course an indoor dog.
We bought the fencing. Got the same netting that we use around our garden, except 3' instead of two. It's called "Poultry Netting" and it's by Tenax Landware. Very light. Gonna put it up with those green "garden-type" t-posts (we couldn't find the fiberglass "step-ins"...)
The chickens never even go over the 2'netting...it seems too unstable to them I think...so the 3' shoot work fine.
