Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Oh dear! Love that cartoon! But, whoever would have thought that the Lord of the Rings opening is not the holiday!!! :-)
Of course it is!! It has become a Christmas tradition over the last 2 years. Must not stop!

Ain't it though!!!!
Gees, you realize he was actually captured yesterday? For the rest of your life you can remember that you officially got engaged on the day of Insane's capture!!!
Okay, it may lack in true romance - but it is a mile-marker IMHO and I think it would be worth a side-note to my kids and grandkids if I were ya'll! :-)

Whoop! Saddam captured... What news! I have a feeling that this morning's sermon might have an improptu message addressing that.

I love your tree! So colorful and happy looking.
I can't put out any good ornaments until Alyson gets older. She'll break them for sure!

that's marvelous! How long does he get?
To: Wneighbor; All
I'm thrilled to pieces that Saddam has been captured!! I, too, wish he'd been found dead in a ditch somewhere, but this'll do just fine.
Has Daschle announced how "deeply saddened" he feels about this yet? *grinning wickedly*

I was taking a shower listening to the radio. The wrong guys were on. I started shouting for Msdrby to turn on the news. YAYAYAY!

Anyone else notice he looks like Ernest Borgnine?

Andbody want to bet how long before demands start that Saddam be tried by some "international tribunal"? Maybe we could give him to some Iraquis so they can drag him through the streets like they did his statue.
Good Morning, Hobbitses!

Good Morning All; this has been quite a day for news, LSA told me as I came downstairs; quite a day indeed.
Been for our walk and decided to try a new place for a store-bought holiday season breakfast.
The old S.O.B. reminds me of one of the "campers" that 'live in a van down by the river'. He had quite a nice place to live. Should've tossed a grate over it.
To: osagebowman
Heh...I know those "campers" OB. Had several of 'em on my case list when I was a social worker. Helped a few of 'em find some permanent housing. Put a couple in detox. Put a couple in nursing homes. All of 'em saying "I can take care of myself."

What do you get when you cross a power hungry goblin and an evil wannabe wizard? heh!
